2、 service of Gloria Jeans Coffees products The proper use of our equipment is essential to the creation of a quality beverage Using approved equipment and following safety standards is essential in providing a safe working environmentIntroducing our EquipmentThe goal of Gloria Jeans Coffees is to ens

3、ure that our guests have a great experience every time they visit us. We are able to do this by using only approved equipment keeping up the maintenance and cleaning of our equipment.It is essential that in each coffee house we follow the correct operating procedures for all the equipment we use eac

4、h and every day.Proper use, cleaning and maintenance of your equipment will allow you to provide the highest quality drink and food products for all guests. 11、ste of the coffee. Built-up coffee in the machine turns rancid and ruins a good coffee. The machine needs to be cleaned during the day and at close.Every CoffeeEvery 30-MinutesBack Flushing for Every Kilo of Coffee Clear the steaming wand with a quick jet of steam before and after each use and wipe

12、using the blue cloth Flush the group head prior to re- loading the group handle with fresh coffee Wipe the filter basket free of old coffee prior to dosing fresh coffee Wipe benches and barista area as needed (that is, when there is grind or spills evident) Cleaning cloths are kept in sanitiser and

13、must be rinsed and changed every 30 minutes Sanitise jugs, shot glasses, spoons and spatulas and refresh the barista kit every 30 minutes Insert the blind filter into the group handle Put the filter loosely into the group head and press the continuous button so water fills the filter and runs over t

14、he seal until the water runs clear Lock the blind filter in firmly and run machine cleaning cycle When finished, unhook the filter and empty the water from it Repeat these steps for the remaining groups Scrub the group handle and basket free of coffee and season onceCaution: Cleaning detergent shoul

16、 Pty LtdEnd of the Day Cleaning of EquipmentBack Flushing with cleaning chemicalSteaming WandsGroup HandlesGrinder Insert the blind filter into the group handle Put the group handle loosely into the group head and press the continuous button so water fills the group handle and runs over the seal unt

17、il the water runs clear Put a teaspoon of espresso cleaning powder in the blind filter and lock in firmly. Run machine cleaning cycle Unhook the group handle & empty the water from it Repeat back flushing procedure without cleaning chemicals until water runs clear Clean the rubber seal using a nylon

18、 brush Repeat these steps for the remaining group heads Clean residue from steaming wands using a blue Alsco cloth and steam Do not soak in any solution as this can be siphoned into the boiler Fill a container with hot water to cover the baskets and metal components of the group handle Add 1 teaspoon of espresso cleaning powder and soak the group handles and baskets for 10 minutes Remove the group handles and baskets and wash them with hot soapy water and rinse Empty beans from the hopper into an airtight container.
