1、User Instructions: SE 1794 Flex I/O Faceplates09/13/07 Rev 1.0The SE 1794 Flex I/O Faceplates files allow you to quickly load, configure, and use preconfigured status and diagnostic displays or faceplates for Flex 1794 Digital and Analog I/O using RSView Supervisory Edition.The example below shows t

2、he types of Flex I/O template objects that can be added to a specific system display. The I/O button templates can be configured to launch the on-top status and diagnostic displays or faceplates for the particular I/O modules they represent.Example of I/O Button Templates used to launch a digital an

3、d analog faceplate1System CompatibilityThe faceplate files are compatible with: RSLogix5000 V15 or laterRSView Supervisory Edition 4.0 or later.Before using faceplate files, please upgrade your RSView Studio Supervisory Edition Version 4.0 with the patches posted on or after 01/01/07.The latest RSVi

Th

7、is folder will contain the 1794 digital and analog I/O faceplate files, the 1794 parameter file and a “SE_1794_IO_Button_Templates” folder containing the templates for the 1794 I/O modules that can be used on your display.Logix Configuration1)Open existing Logix file with RSLogix50002)Add and config

8、ure the desired Flex I/O modules. (Skip to step 2e for distributed I/O).a.For Local I/O, right click on the FlexBus Local or Local2 and select “New Module”.b.Select the appropriate I/O module from the available listing.3c.Enter a distinct module name and description.d.Repeat step 2a-2c for all local

9、 Flex I/O modules.e.For distributed Flex I/O, right click on “Backplane, FlexLogix System” and select “New Module”. Then select the appropriate Communications module (i.e. 1788-CNC/A or 1788- ENBT/A) local to the controller.f.Give the new Communications module a name, a description and enter the cor

10、rect chassis size. For an ENBT give the IP address. For a CNB give the node number.4g.Right click the Communication module you just configured and select “New Module” to add the appropriate network adapter.h.Select the appropriate adapter module for the distributed I/O you are using.i.Give the new m

11、odule a name, description, an IP address, and choose a chassis size.NOTE: Do not set the Comm Format to Rack Optimization for these faceplates.5j.Right click on the network adapter and select “New Module”. for your system.Add the appropriate I/O modulek.Enter a distinct module name and description.l

12、.Repeat step 2j-2k for all distributed Flex I/O modules.RSView SE Configuration1) Open your existing RSView SE application that you wish to add the Flex I/O faceplate to.2) Add the appropriate “SE_1794-Ixx_Faceplate.gfx” or “SE_1794-Oxx_Faceplate.gfx” file to your displays.6a.Right-click on Displays

13、, and select “Add Component Into Application”. Browse to the SE_1794_Digital&Analog_Faceplate_Files folder and select the faceplate GFX file that matches the module you wish to create a faceplate for.3)Add the faceplate parameter file “SE_1794_Parameter.par” to your RSView SE application.a.Right-cli

14、ck on Parameters, and select “Add component Into application”. Browse to the SE_1794_Digital&Analog_Faceplate_Files folder and select the “SE_1794_Parameter.par” file. Then click the Open button.b.Now open the parameter that was just added and edit the “parameter tagname” to match your application.

15、The “parameter tagname” needs to include the RSLinx Enterprise “Device Shortcut” name of your systems controller and the Logix “tag name” of the intended Flex I/O module you wish to monitor.i. Double-click on the faceplate parameter file, and edit the “Device Shortcut” name7(in this example it is CL

16、X-L43) to match the Logix controller that was previously configured in your RSLinx Enterprise Communication Setup.ii.Enter the Logix “tag name” of the intended Flex I/O module to monitor.For modules that are local, this tag name will be the name “Local” followed by a “:” and the slot location of the

17、 module, ie., Local:1For modules that are distributed, this tag name will be the name of your adapter you added in step 2h of the Logix Configuration section, followed by a “:” and the slot location of the module,i.e. Network_Adapter:1Close and Save changes.8To add parameter files for additional Fle

18、x I/O modules, simply repeat steps 3a and 3b above, creating a unique parameter name by assigning the associated “Device Shortcut” and Logix “tag name” for each module.For modules that are local, change only the slot location of the tag name,Example: #1=CLX-L43Local:2 represents a module in slot 2.F

19、or modules that are distributed, this tag name will be the name of the additional I/O adapters, followed by a “:” and the slot location of the module.Example: #1=CLX-L43Network_Adapter_2:1 (“Network_Adapter_2” represents another unique name for an I/O adapter on the network and “:1” represents the m

20、odule in slot 1.)4)Create the display navigation to open the 1794 I/O Faceplates at runtime. (To use the I/O button templates for the 1794 Modules skip to pg 11, Configuration Steps for using the I/O Button Templates.)a.On a desired graphic display, create a new button object.b.Double-click on the b

21、utton object to display its properties and configure the Action tab. Click onthe browse (i.e. ellipses,) button beside the Press Action field to launch the Command Wizard.c.Select the Display command and click Next.d.Use the browse buttons, drop down menus and the Parameter File checkbox to select t

22、he appropriate area, display and parameter file name and click Finish.9e.The Display command syntax has now been configured and inserted into the Press Action field.f.Configure the remaining Button Properties if desired and click OK.g.Repeat steps 4a-4f for navigation to any additional Flex I/O modu

23、les, using a unique parameter file for each additional Flex I/O module.5) Now, you can save and create a runtime file to test your display.10Configuration Steps for using the I/O Button TemplatesIf you desire a hardware system view as shown below, with each module in the chassis configured as a disp

24、lay navigation button that can launch individual Flex I/O faceplates, follow these instructions.1)Add the 1794 bitmap images into your RSView application by right clicking onto the Image folder in the system tree and choosing “Add Component into Application.”112)Browse to your “SE_1794_IO_Button_Tem

25、plates” folder that was created in step 1 under General Setup. Select all the 1794 Bitmaps images. Click Open.3)Next, add the 1794 display navigation files into your RSView Application by right clicking on the Display folder in the system tree and by selecting “Add Component into Application.”4)Brow

26、se to your “SE_1794_IO_Button_Templates” folder and select all the GFX files. Verify the displays appear under Displays in your system tree.Click Open.125)Create a new Display or open your own system display to copy the I/O button templates to.6)Open the “Goto_Flex_Adapters_and_Controllers” displays

27、 and copy (or drag and drop) your desired graphic object onto your system display.7)Open the “Goto_Flex_Input_Modules” or “Goto_Flex_Output_Modules display and copy (or drag and drop) your desired modules onto the display.138)Repeat step 7 until all the required modules have been copied onto the cha
