Wearecommittedtoprovidingsustainableandethically

producedbrands,productsandservicesforourcustomers,prioritizinghumanrightsacrossourglobalvaluechain

andreducingourenvironmentalimpact.Wehavewell-

Weareexpandingourcurrentsustainableproductsofferingbeyondthird-partycertificationstoincludesustainable

innovations,specificallyintheareaofcircularsolutionssuchasrefillablebeauty.Additionally,weareprioritizingopportunitiesthatextendthelifeofaproductandhelpourcustomers.

In2022,weintroducedatrainingprogrampreparedbyour

SustainabilityandPrivateBranddesignteamstotrainMacy’sproductdevelopment,sourcing,designandbuyingteamsonoursustainableproductguidelinesandprocesses.Bytheendof2022,wetrainedmorethan800colleaguesaccountable

forbuying,developingandsourcingMacy’sproducts.

Wecontinuetotrainthesecolleaguesin2023withafocusonpreferredmaterialsbyproductcategoryinlinewithourcolleagueengagementambition:“100%ofdesign,productdevelopment,sourcingandbuyingteamsinvolvedinprivatebrandproductsmanagedbytheMacy’ssourcingteam

willcompletetrainingonsustainablematerialsanddesignby2025.”
