foreigncountries.Thesecollegesaremainlyinvolvedintheeffortstoteach
ChineselanguageandtodisseminateChineseculturetotheworld.Many
peoplebelievethatthefoundingoftheseConfuciusCollegesispropitiousto
theChinesepeople'srenaissance.Firstly,itbecomesahallmarkofChinese
people'ssenseofprideandhelpsChinesepeopletorediscoverthemselves.
Furthermore,itcanalsohelptheworldhaveabetterunderstandingofChinese
peopleandChinesecultureaswellascurrentpoliciesofChinesepeoplesoas
tocreateaharmoniousenvironmentforChina'sfurtherdevelopment.
However,therearedifferentvoicesfromtheworldabouttheestablishmentof
theConfuciusCollegesabroad.Somewelcomethisnewphenomenonasa
contributiontothediversityoftheworld,whileothersviewitasaform,of
culturalinvasionandasathreattotheworld.Thisisquitenormalforthere
arealwaystwokindsofpeopleintheworldwhotakedifferentattitudes
towardsChina'sdevelopment.What'sthebestinsuchasituationistotake

encouragesmorepeopletousecarsastheirdailytransport.Howevertherise
ofprivatecarshasalsobroughtsomeproblemssuchastrafficcongestionand
airpollution.InsomemetropolitansofChinaduringrushhourscarsare
queuinginurbanareas.Theexhaustoftheseprivatecarsalsoleadsto
increasinglysevereairpollution.Accordingtoscientiststheglobalwarming
iscloselyrelatedtotheemissionsofprivatecars.Thereforeinsomesense
people'slifequalityisdecreasing.Inordertoreversethisdeclineinthequality
oflifeincitiesattemptsmustbemadetoencouragepeopletousetheircars
lessandpublictransportmore.Thegovernmentshouldcreateamore
comfortableandconvenientpublictransportsystemsothatthepublicwould
liketousepublictransportInadditionmeasuresshouldbetakentoraisethe
environmentalawarenessofthegeneralpublic.Anotherdirectmeasureisto
imposeheaviertaxesontheownershipofprivatecarssoastodiscourage

TransportThepast5yearshavewitnessedtherapidincreaseofprivatecars
inbigcitiesofChina.MoreandmoreChineseareabletoaffordacarand
wouldliketobuyaprivatecartoimprovetheirlifequality.Severalfactors
contributetotheincreasingnumberofprivatecars.First,itcanbeattributed
tothegreatadvanceofpeople'sincomeaswellasthedramaticdecreaseof
carpricesduetomassproductionBesides,therapidexpansionofhighway
systemsaroundthecountryalsoencouragesmorepeopletousecarsastheir
dailytransport.However,theriseofprivatecarshasalsobroughtsome
problemssuchastrafficcongestionandairpollution.Insomemetropolitans
ofChina,duringrushhourscarsarequeuinginurbanareas.Theexhaustof
theseprivatecarsalsoleadstoincreasinglysevereairpollution.Accordingto
scientists,theglobalwarmingiscloselyrelatedtotheemissionsofprivate
cars.Therefore,insomesense,people'slifequalityisdecreasing.Inorderto
reversethisdeclineinthequalityoflifeincities,attemptsmustbemadeto
encouragepeopletousetheircarslessandpublictransportmore.The
governmentshouldcreateamorecomfortableandconvenientpublictransport
systemsothatthepublicwouldliketousepublictransportInaddition,
measuresshouldbetakentoraisetheenvironmentalawarenessofthegeneral
