被動形式havingbeendone動詞-ing形式的否定形式是在其前加notDiscoveringUsefulStructures:-ingformofverbs動詞的-ing形式做表語的兩種含義①-ing分詞作表語可以表示主語的內(nèi)容是什么。Eg:Theirjobisbuildinghouses.他們的工作是蓋房子。Eg:Therealquestionisgettingtoknowtheneedsofthepeople.真正的問題是了解人民的需要。②-ing分詞作表語還可以表示主語所具有的特征。如:Eg:Thisstoryisveryinteresting.這故事很有趣。Eg:Theproblemisquitepuzzling.這個問題很令人困惑。分詞作表語有兩種情況,一種是-ing形式作表語,一種是-ed形式作表語。半使役類動詞如excite,interest“使激動”、“使感興趣”,-ing形式用來描述事物的特征,表示“令人...的”,-ed形式用來描述人的感受,表示“感到...的”。如:excite:exciting令人激動的
