最高級表示三者或三者以上（人或事物）的比較。表示在一群人或事物中，其中一個“最……”。句中常含有表示比較范圍的介詞of或in

短語，形容詞的最高級前一般要加定冠詞the，副詞最高級前的the可以省略。e.g.Jimisthetallestboyofthem.
