isbecomingmoreandmorewidespreadinthe21stcentury.Possessingacargivesamuchgreaterdegreeofmobility,enablingthedrivertomovearoundfreely.Thecarownerisnolongerforcedtorelyonpublictransporttogetabout.Withthebuildingofgood,fastmotorwayslongdistancescanbecoveredrapidlyandpleasantly.Andmanypeoplearenowabletoenjoytheirleisuretimetothefullbymakingtripstothecountryorseasideatweekends,insteadofbeingconfinedtotheirimmediateneighborhood.

When,however,consideringthedrawbacks,perhapspoilutionisofprimeproblems.Asmoreandmorecarsareproducedandused,sotheemissionfromtheirexhaustpipescontainsaneverlargervolumeofpoisonousgas,whichnotonlypollutestheatmospherebutcausesactualharmtothehealthofpeople.Anotherseriousproblemistrafficcongestion,endlessqueuseofcarscrawlingbumpertobumperthroughallthemainstreets.Difficultiesinfindingparkinglots,andthecostofpetrolandroadtaxalladdtothedriver'sworries.

Withbothoftheseadvantagesanddisadvantagesoftheuseofacarinmind,I,personally,prefertohavemyowncarforworkandplay.IcanhaveawiderchoiceofjobsasInolongerhavetoworklocally,andIcanmakebetteruseofmyfreetimebydrivingoutatweekends.Thefeelingofindependence,andthefreedomtogowhereIplease,iswhatIenjoymost.

21世紀(jì)汽車的應(yīng)用越來越廣泛了。有了汽車人們活動范圍擴大了，可以自由地到處漫游。

出行時可以不必再依賴公共交通。隨著質(zhì)量好、速度快的高速公路的建成，人們可以迅速愉快地完成長距離的行程，充分享受閑暇時光，在周末做一次鄉(xiāng)村旅行或海濱旅游，不必只局限在附近地區(qū)轉(zhuǎn)游。

然而說到汽車的缺點，也許污染問題是第一位的。

由于與日俱增地生產(chǎn)和使用汽車，致使有毒氣體的排放量比以往任何時候都多，這不僅污染了空氣，也危害人類健康。另一個嚴(yán)重問題是交通堵塞，在所有的主要街道上
