PAGEPAGE1大學(xué)英語法學(xué)英語（二）學(xué)期小論文TheRationalityofSame-sexMarriageinChina同性婚姻在中國存在的合理性學(xué)號：2013713015專業(yè)：漢語言文學(xué)姓名：馬俊穎學(xué)院：人文學(xué)院年級：13級英語班級:17完成日期：2014/6/11Therationalityofsame-sexmarriageinChinaSummary:Inrecentyears,thelegalizationofsame-sexmarriagemovementhasspreadallovertheworld,whichhasattractedwidespreadattention.Theissueofsame-sexmarriagealsohasbeenaflashpointinchina.Inmyopinion,theexistenceofsame-sexmarriageisreasonableinchina.Gayscannot“choose”whotheyareattractedto.Gaycommunityhasequalrightswithus.Legalizationofsame-sexmarriageisnecessarytomaintainsocialorder.Ibelievethelegalizationofsame-sexmarriagewillcometrueonedayinchina.Keywords:same-sexmarriage;legalization;rationality;ChinaInrecentyears,thelegalizationofsame-sexmarriagemovementhasspreadallovertheworld,whichhasattractedwidespreadattention.Givenprioritytodevelopedcountriesintheworld,manycountrieshavegaymarriageprotectionlegislation.Developingcountriesarealsodiscussingtheproblemsofsame-sexmarriage,whichshowsthatSame-sexmarriageisnolongerastheyusedtobeontheshelf.Sofar,same-sexmarriagehasmadegreatimprovementinmanycountries.InOctober1989,Denmarkbecamethefirstcountrytorecognizesame-sexunionsintheformof“registeredpartnerships”.In2001,Netherlandbecamethefirstnationtograndsame-sexmarriage(CBCNews).Nowadays,same-sexmarriageisgrantedandmutuallyrecognizedbyHolland,Belgium,Iceland,Sweden,Canada,etc.Theissueofsame-sexmarriagealsohasbeenaflashpointinchinasettingoffwavesinsociety.Althoughtherearestillsomepeoplewhoinsistthatthesame-sexcouplestomarrywouldunderminetheinstitutionofmarriageitself,moreandmorepeoplecometobelievethatsame-sexmarriageisauniqueexpressionofloveandcommitment.Inmyopinion,Same-sexmarriageshouldbeapprovedbyus.Theexistenceofsame-sexmarriageisreasonableinchina.Firstly,thispaperexaminesandanalyzesthereasonswhygayscannot“choose”whotheyareattractedto.Secondly,itidentifiesanddescribesthegaycommunityhasequalrightswithus.Finally,itillustratesthatlegalizationofsame-sexmarriageisnecessarytomaintainsocialorder.Firstofall,gayscannot“choose”whotheyareattractedto.Gaymarriageopponentsholdthatgayscouldchooseanddecidewhomtolove.However,itisaseriousmisunderstanding.Gaysalsodonothavea“choice”towhomtheycanfeelattracted.Justastheconnectionbetweenheterosexualpartnersislove,sodohomosexuals.Thedifferenceisjusttochoosethegenderoftheirspouseisdifferent.Thecauseofhomosexualityismostlyfocusedingenetics,hormones,psychologyandthestructureofbrain.Thatis,homosexualsarebornthisway,andhomosexualityistheirnaturalwayoflife.What’smore,therearesomestudiesthatprovethat25%ofhomosexual’sbrothersarealsohomosexuals(Katchadourian394).Moreover,thegaycommunityhasequalrightswithus.Thevitalaspectsofgayrightsprotectionisthelegalizationofsame-sexmarriage.Thecitizensrepresentingthisminoritywanttohavetherighttolegallywedtheirlifepartneraseveryheterosexual.Weshouldsupportequalrightsforthegaycommunity.Legalizingsame-sexmarriageishelpfultosolvethefinancialconflictbetweensame-sexcouples.Today,moreandmorepeopleaccepthomosexualityandregarditasanormalphenomenon;theyalsoagreetogivehomosexualsequalrightsasheterosexuals.A2008surveybyProf.LishowspublicattitudestowardsgaysandlesbiansinChina.Thereare91%oftherespondentsagreedwithhomosexuals’havingequalemploymentright,whileover80%agreedthathomosexualsandheterosexualswere“equalindividuals”.(LiTenquestions).Furthermore,legalizationofsame-sexmarriageisnecessarytomaintainsocialorder.Thetotalnumberofhomosexualthroughoutourcountryoccupiedaconsiderableproportionofthewholepopulation.Theirsocialactivitieshavegreatlyinfluencedthestabilityofoursociety.Acknowledginggaymarriagemakesitpossibleforhomosexualtoformnormalfamilieswiththeirloversandassureslongstablemarriagerelationships.Establishinggaymarriagerelationshipsmeanthatbothsidesofthisrelationshipneedtotaketheresponsibilitytobeloyaltoeachotherwithintheirmarriage,bydoingsowecanavoidthepossibilityofpromiscuity.Thecombinationofhomosexualsalsohelptopurifythehomosexuallovetoanewhigherlevel.Homosexualwillnolongerboundthemselvestothelimitationthatonlyoppositesexpersoncangetmarried,alsotheywillnolongerbeforcedtoestablishormaintainrelationshipsthatshouldnotexist.Tosumup,legalizinggaymarriagewillnotonlybringhappinesstohomosexualpersonsandpreventinnocentoppositesexpersonfromgettinginvolved,butalsohelptobuildaharmonioussociety.MichelFoucault,aFrenchphilosopherandSociologist,oncesaidthatpeople’sdesireformenorwomenisoutofpeople’snaturaldesireforbeauty,whateverthesexis(Li421).Ibelievethatmoreandmorepeoplewillbeawareoftheseriousnessofsame-sexmarriage.Wherethereisawill,thereisaway.Withthedevelopmentofsocietyandadvancementofhumancivilization,withthejointeffortsofthegovernment,sexologistsandhomosexuals,wehavestrongreasonstobelievethatthe
