1、Unit 1 How tall are you?教學設計A Lets learn一、教材分析: 本節(jié)學習的是形容詞比較級,讓學生學會并能運用含有比較級的簡單句子。在此之前,學生已經學過本節(jié)所有形容詞的原形,這些形容詞是對人體外貌的描寫,與學生密切相關,學生學起來會感覺容易且興趣濃。二、教學目標與要求:1能夠聽、說、讀、寫形容詞的比較形式:taller, stronger, older, younger 和 shorter.2能夠用句型:Imcm tall. He/ Shes cm tall. 描述自己和他人的身高。3能夠用句型 Youre taller than your brother. I

2、m older than you. 進行年齡和身高的比較。4能夠聽懂教師的指令,按不同年齡、身高排隊,并用所學語言進行表述。三、教學重、難點:1重點是能夠聽、說、讀、寫A Lets learn 部分五個形容詞的比較級形式;并能用含有比較級的句型替換關鍵詞進行問答。2難點是能夠聽、說、讀、寫四會單詞;并能根據某一情境使用含有形容詞比較級的句型替換關鍵詞進行問答;長度單位cm的完整形式centimeter的發(fā)音也是本課的教學難點。四、教學過程:Step 1 Warm up.Lets chant.(活躍課堂氣氛,讓學生盡快地進入課堂。)Free talk.T: Whos your favourite

3、 teacher? Whats he / she like?S1: My favourite teacher is He / She is S2: Guessing game. S1: Whos my favourite teacher? Shes young and tall. Shes strict but kind. S2: Shes our English teacher.Read the words: tall, strong, old, young, short意圖:Free tall的過程中復習了學過的句型和形容詞,有助于下一環(huán)節(jié)的開展。Step 2 Presentation.1

4、. Show two pictures: Yao Ming and Liu Xiang. Ask and answer:NameYao MingNameLiu XiangAge32Age29Height(身高)229 cmHeight(身高)189 cm意圖:給出熟悉的體育明星Yao Ming和Liu Xiang的相片和信息,一下子吸引了學生的眼球,學生會迫不及待的去了解和比較他們。(1) older & younger. T: How old is Yao Ming?S1: Hes 32 years old.T: How is Liu Xiang?S2: Hes 29.T: Whos old

5、er, Yao Ming or Liu Xiang?Ss: Yao Ming is older.Teach to read “older” “er” / T: Whos younger? Yao Ming or Liu Xiang?Ss: Liu Xiang is younger.Teach to read “younger”T:Im 27 years old. How old are you?S1: Im 13.T: Im older than you. You are younger than me.意圖:學生們都掌握了如何詢問對方年齡的句型,所以學生很快能說出兩位體育運動員的年齡,此時,

6、教師再引導學生們對他們的年齡進行比較,這樣學生能容易地理解比較級的意義。同時,把older和younger這對相反的形容詞比較級放在一起教,能讓學生對它們的意思理解得更深刻,更有話說,運用得更到位。taller & shorter T: Yao Ming is 229 cm tall. How tall is Liu Xiang? Ss: He is 189 cm tall. Teach to read “cm -Centimeter. cen-ti-me-ter”. Let Ss guess my height. Then let Ss introduce their height. T:

7、Who is taller, Yao Ming or Liu Xiang? Ss: Yao Ming is taller. Teach to read “taller”. Then let Ss compare their height.e.g.: S1: Im 155 cm tall. How tall are you?S2: Im 155 cm tall.S1: Im taller than you.T: Whos shorter? Yao Ming or Liu Xiang?Ss: Liu Xiang is shorter. T: Yes. Liu Xiang is shorter th

8、an Yao Ming.Teach to read “shorter”. 根據前面幾個形容詞來引導學生初步認識比較級后綴“er” 發(fā)音規(guī)律。T: I have a brother. He is taller than me. What about you?S1: I have an uncle. He is taller than me.S2: I have a sister. She is shorter than me.意圖:在用了How old are you?句型來詢問年齡之后,學生再學習句型How tall are you?來詢問身高就容易多了。在此環(huán)節(jié),初步地讓學生認識了一下后綴“

9、er”的發(fā)音規(guī)律,有助于掃除學生學習其它更多形容詞比較級時出現(xiàn)的讀音障礙。2. stronger Compare our P.E. teacher and English teacher. Who is stronger? Teach to read “stronger”, then let Ss talk about “Who is stronger than you in your family/ class?” 意圖:先從學生熟悉的體育老師和英語老師的外形相比,讓學生認識stronger的意思和用法,再讓學生自由說出自己的家人或班上比自己強壯的人來進行操練和鞏固。3. A game(開火

10、車) S1: I am 152 cm tall. How tall are you? S2: Im 155 cm tall. Im taller than you(S1). How tall are you(S3)? S3: Im 151 cm tall. Im shorter than you(S2). S4: 意圖:用游戲來訓練句型和新單詞,學生興趣高。Lets sing a song.Im taller than you.Hes shorter than me.Im younger than him. Shes older than me./ Im stronger than her.意

11、圖:用歌曲幫助學生記憶。Lets play. Let three Ss come to theplatform. Let other Ss compare them. 意圖:此環(huán)節(jié)給學生展示的機會,檢查學生在實際情況下的運用能力。Lets try.Step 3 Practice.Let Ss show the photos of their family and introduce the members to others.e.g. : I am 152 cm tall. My sister is 148 cm tall. I am taller than my sister. My mother is 39 years old. My father is 40. My mother is younger than my father. Look at my parents.
