40、IN CONCLUSION :Although questions can be answered in pen or pencil you will need a soft pencil to fill in your candidate number and other information.Even if you cant answer most of the questions in Section 1, dont panic. Often people who make mistakes early in the test end up getting very good mark

41、s.If you dont know the answer to a question, guess. There are no points taken off for wrong answers.Try and predict the answers before you hear the tape. The test is much easier if you have some idea of what you are listening for before you listen.Dont try to listen to every word. Listen specificall

42、y for the answers to the questions.If you dont hear the answer to a question, go on to the next. It is only one mark lost.Make sure you follow the instructions. You may not receive marks for answers written incorrectly onto the answer sheet.Often there is a large amount of dialogue between questions

43、. So dont worry if you listen for a long time without hearing anything that helps you answer a question.There are no magic formulas for doing well in the IELTS test. However, these simple suggestions will help you do as well as possible.Be calm .Even if you feel depressed or discouraged. As one part

44、 of the exam finishes, forget it and go on to the next one.Do Not Memorise Answers . Firstly, an examiner can tell if youve memorised an answer, d you will lose marks.
