2、s husband or wife. yes, life is a matter of choice. seemimgly, it means a choice of tangible things. but in essence, it means choosing a way of life. life is to be lived, savored, and enjoyed, not to be wasted or complained about.hardly can we forget the time when our society faced the grave threat

3、from the life-and-death disease-sars. yet, even during those dreadful times, some afflicted people remained optimistic. instead of wearing neutral white masks, some people turned to colouful ones, and thus display a happy mood. and some creative people dubbed sars to mean smile and remain smiling. i

4、 was deeply touched by their optimisim, nearly forgetting that were still in a battle. people who survive these kinds of circumstances, (at some point)decide in their minds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.laid-off workers, typically regarded as the victims of economic advancement, are

5、subject to desperation that being unmeployed has brought on them. but, encouragingly, we have witnessed some of them striving hard to rebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstrating their values.although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoid une

6、xpected disasters and adversities, we do have the privilege to choose to live optimistcally,to love our lives, to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.every morning when we get up, we have a choice of how we want to approach life that day. as for me, i choose to be cheerful.大學生英語英語演講稿3分鐘篇二good morning

7、ladies and gentlemen. today im very glad to be here with you to share my stories and opinions about reading. i love reading from the bottom of my heart. and i do learn a lot from books. i know the wonderful stories of great heroes in history, secrets of nature, mysteries of ufo and our universe. to

8、me , books are like a faithful friend, always around me , giving me enjoyment and wisdom.i remember when i was in primary school, ten or eleven years old, my father borrowed some books from the library in his school. those were among the greatest works of the world, including abrabian nights、the leg

9、end of deification, journey to the west, and the romance of the three kingdoms. these books were all written in ancient chinese characters but i tried to read the heavy books and were deeply attracted. from then on, i spared every minute to read whatever i could get. whenever i got a new book, i kep

10、t reading until i finished it despite time and place. i read books even in class or just a few minutes before the exams. in my mind, there is always an unforgettable scene: lying in bed, nervous but excited, my friend and i read a book together in the weak light of a flashlight , with a quilt on us,

11、 in order not to be blamed by parents. all my classmates thought i was crazy and gave me a nickname “bookworm”. so you can understand why i got my eyes shortsighted.till now, i still like reading as i used to. and im very pleased to see that my ten-year-old son loves reading just like me. i have bou

12、ght him many books. whenever you come into my home, you can find books in every corner. but the place where my son and i enjoy reading most is in the toilet. so it often happens in the morning: one is in the toilet reading something comfortably, while another walking outside , shouting. for my age,

13、i like to read magazines or short stories to get relaxation as well as inspiration.today we live in a world of prosperity. never before have we faced so many temptation from the outside world. never before have we had so many chances to enjoy our lives. we drive rather than walking; we go online to

14、chat with people weve never met before instead of talking to friends around us. but theres always something that cannot be replaced and forgotten., such as books. so i will allow myself to continue the journey in the ocean of books until the very end of my life.finally, id like to end my speech with

I never thought twice about all she did until one day she said, “Will there be a time that youll say you have taken enough from me? ”Like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout

18、 history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the b

19、urning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summers floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity.
