1、Unit2 CloningReading: CLONING: WHERE IS IT LEADING US? 教學設(shè)計西安市第十九中學張媚一、教材分析本單元以Cloning為話題,旨在通過單元教學,使學生了解克隆技術(shù)的優(yōu) 缺點,學會表達和支持個人觀點,能用所學的有關(guān)Cloning的詞匯去表述自己對 這一新技術(shù)的觀點和看法。”閱讀" (Reading)部分提供的材料 CLONING: WHERE IS IT LEADING US?是一篇介紹克隆技術(shù)的說明文,具體介紹了植物與動物克隆的區(qū)別,多利羊 的誕生與死亡及由此引發(fā)的爭論。幫助學生進一步認識克隆的意義在于解決醫(yī)學 上的難題,為人類服
2、務。從話題內(nèi)容上分析,Warming Up與Reading相一致,從教材份量來說,可將 Warming Up和Reading整合在一起,設(shè)計成一節(jié)任務型 “閱讀課(精讀課)”。二、學情分析我所帶的兩個班級的學生英語基礎(chǔ)一般,平時較少閱讀科學題材的文章,知識面相對狹窄,閱讀理解這篇文章還是有一定難度。 但學生的好奇心和學習接受 能力比較強,可以布置學生課前上網(wǎng)或去圖書館找出一些有關(guān)克隆的資料,并與多媒體相結(jié)合簡單介紹克隆及克隆技術(shù)的一些知識,讓學生有了一定的知識準備 以利于很好的理解課文。三、設(shè)計理念及教學目標這節(jié)課的主要目的是培養(yǎng)學生跳讀和細讀的閱讀技巧, 使學生學會準確分析 閱讀問題,懂得從
3、文章中找到關(guān)鍵句子攝取必要的信息,找出正確的答案。我運 用多媒體和學生搜索材料主動參與學習相結(jié)合, 設(shè)計了表格、問答題、判斷題和 信息整理題。這不僅提高學生的閱讀技巧,也教會學生怎樣處理不同的閱讀問題。四.教學目標 Teaching goals1. Do you want to be cloned or not? why?通過展示圖片和提問,激發(fā)學生對克隆技術(shù)的興趣和好奇心,啟發(fā)學生預測課文的內(nèi)容,以便通過閱讀驗證自己的推測。Step 2 Warming up (1 分鐘)Show the

Get studen ts to look at the picture and discuss:How does Dolly differ from other sheep?進一步營造寬松和活躍的課堂氣氛,充分調(diào)動學生學習的積極性,即或?qū)W生的 思維,培養(yǎng)他們發(fā)散思維能力。這就為進一步的學習做足了鋪墊。Step 3 Reading (共 26 分鐘)Get the students to comprehend the passage quickly and accurately and meanwh

18、鐘)As a coin has two sides, everything has two aspects. On the one han d, if cloning is used in a correct way it can bring much convenience to us. On the other hand, if cloning is used in an evil way it can ca use much trouble. Therefore, we should use cloning in a wise way.對整篇文章進行小結(jié)使學生清楚的認識到克隆的利弊關(guān)系,從而以正確的態(tài)度 去對待,使克隆技術(shù)能更好服務于人類。Step6. Homework (1 分鐘)
