8、round(前景),foreman(工頭,領(lǐng)班),foresee(預(yù)見,先見),foretell(預(yù)言) De- decrease(減少,降低), deforest(濫砍濫伐) depopulate (使人口減少)后綴 -ify意為:轉(zhuǎn)為,變?yōu)?to turn into,to make or become)例詞:beautify, diversify,simplify -ize;-en意為:使,變得(to make or become ;to make into)例詞:modernize,popularize,legalize,hospitalize,symbolize,widen,heigh
9、ten,threaten -less意為:沒有,無(without;not giving)例詞:speechless,harmless,hopeless,meaningless -ive意為:有屬性的;有某種傾向的(having the nature or quality of; given or tending to)例詞:attractive, talkative,restrictive,defensive,preventive,constructive,sensitive , conservative,instructive -ward(s)意為:表示方式或動作的方向(manner an
