6、troductionPico repeater is applied specifically in small area indoor DAS system. The base station signal is coupled and amplified by Pico repeater into in building system. The amplified signals is transmitted by indoor antenna. Meanwhile the indoor antenna receives the cell phone signal, and send th

7、e signal to the base station as uplink. This method can eliminate the signal dead spot, reject the interference, provide the stable signal communication for cell phone users. This Pico repeater mainly solves the problem spot problem in building. The coverage area is as large as 3000 square meters in

8、 open space, and 1000 square meters in partial obstacle area, 500 square meters in complete obstacle area. The edge power level for coverage area is above 85dBm. The repeater output power level is less than 20dBm. Pico Repeater is a bi-directional amplifier that allows for the reception of signals,

9、amplifies the signal and re-transmits into areas where there is no or very low signal level coverage enabling a mobile user to establish a call connection.Pico Repeater can be deployed in indoor coverage and dead area. It is especially advantageous to use in 100-1000,which is a very economical solut

11、eater detects the cell phone signal automatically. In case there is no uplink power received, and the uplink path is shut off by the repeater. This function can prevent the system from the interference. In case the uplink power is detected, the repeater uplink path is opened automatically. So the co

12、mmunication is established. 2. digital ALC/ analog ALCWith the function of digital ALC and analog ALC, the dynamic gain adjustment range is 60dB. The system ALC is double redundancy , It provide the high reliability and stability. 3. Oscillation automatically detected functionIt has the function of

13、oscillation automatically detection between the donor antenna and service antenna.4. Uplink/downlink gain adjustment synchronization Uplink and downlink gain setup automaticallyAfter the system is power up, the input power is detected automatically and then the output power is adjusted. After the do

14、wnlink gain is calculated by the system, the uplink gain can be adjustment equivalently. This method can balance the system amplification. The both path gain is adjusted relevantly. The system gain is less than the system path loss. So the repeater will not bring any interference and noise into the

15、system link. One base station can hook up more than one repeaters. The function ensures that Pico Repeater on the network without any interference noise, guarantee a base station can bring more Pico Repeater.5.
