Play a short video about having dinner in a restaurant. Ask students where th

4、ey are and what they are doing.II. Show the students the picture on Page 69 of Unit 7, ask them to look at the picture and discuss: 1. Where are they? 2. What are they doing?III. Introduce the key themes to the students.IV. Ask the students to listen to the six sentences and match the words with the

5、 pictures in Activity , Warming up on Page 70.V. Ask the students to match the key words with the pictures in Activity . Present different restaurants and foods on slides and ask students to match them quickly.Listening& Speaking practice (1)I. Present the photos and words in the word box on Pag

6、e 71. Then ask the students to read and understand them after the tape. II. Show the pictures of three different restaurants. Ask the students to choose the restaurant mentioned in the dialogue after listening.III. Present the basic sentences on the blackboard: Would you like to have dinner with me

7、tonight? How about the Italian restaurant down the street?IV. Ask the students to read the dialogue after the tape. And then ask them to make dialogues in pairs with the given words in Activity on Page 71.V. Ask some pairs to act out the dialogue in class, and invite others to comment. Divide studen

8、ts into different groups to set up different restaurants. Ask them to name their restaurants and the names of some special food or dishes. Stick the names on the blackboard and ask the students to act out the dialogues and choose their favourite dishes. Listening& Speaking practice (2)I. Present

9、 some photos of food and drinks on the slide, and ask the students to guess what are mentioned in the dialogue.II. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue on Page 72, and to find out what food and drinks are mentioned. III. Present the important sentences on the slide and explain the meaning : Ca

10、n I take your order now? Id like the vegetable soup to start with. What would you like for the main course? Would you like anything to drink?IV. Play a short video of eating out in a western restaurant, and introduce the customs of having western dinner and Chinese dinner, such as the starters, the

11、main course, and the dessert.V. Ask the students to read after the tape. Act out the dialogue according to the words and photos in Activity on Page 72. . Ask the groups by different names of restaurants to welcome their “customers”. The “customers” should be from the other groups and they may commen
