過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)(Past Progressive Tense)李集中學(xué) 解小飛I. The Analysis of Teaching Material 過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)是人教版新目標(biāo)八年級(jí)上冊(cè)第五單元的重點(diǎn)語(yǔ)法,同時(shí)也是初中階段學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)到的第四種時(shí)態(tài)。主要是表達(dá)過(guò)去在某一具體時(shí)間或者一段時(shí)間正在發(fā)生的活動(dòng)。對(duì)于過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí),一方面可以讓學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)的應(yīng)用;另一方面讓學(xué)生來(lái)對(duì)比這兩種時(shí)態(tài)的區(qū)別,從而更好地掌握住過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)。而第五單元中,又引出了when和while引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句在過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)中的應(yīng)用!從而使得學(xué)生必須能夠正確應(yīng)用它們。II. The Analysis of Students八年級(jí)的學(xué)生對(duì)于現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)和一般過(guò)去時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)已經(jīng)有相當(dāng)長(zhǎng)的一段時(shí)間了,所以會(huì)有遺忘的現(xiàn)象。而現(xiàn)在學(xué)習(xí)了過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí),將是這兩種時(shí)態(tài)的糅合。對(duì)于新語(yǔ)法知識(shí)的學(xué)習(xí),必須讓學(xué)生吃透它的定義,了解其應(yīng)用范圍。所以,教學(xué)過(guò)程中要已基礎(chǔ)為主,伴隨大量練習(xí)讓學(xué)生操練,從而達(dá)到鞏固新知的目的。一邊讓學(xué)生來(lái)復(fù)習(xí)現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)和一般過(guò)去時(shí),鞏固舊識(shí);一邊也可以讓學(xué)生接觸新的知識(shí),提高英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)水平。III. Teaching ProceduresStep 1. Greetings and Revision.Ask two students to answer some questions on Present Progressive Tense, like the definition, the rules of verb changing and so on. Then according to their answers, make proper comments.Step 2. PresentationShow the PPT to the students and make them learn about the definition of Past Progressive Tense. Meanwhile, ask them to pay enough attention to the time adverbials. Then, give them enough time to watch the structures to know its different sentence patterns. Ask students to focus on the changes between different sentence patterns. Then the teacher helps the students make a summary.Step 3 PracticeFirstly, ask the students to look at the picture and make sure they remember what those students are doing. Then create the situation which happened three days ago.Secondly, make a sample for the students and then invite some students to answer those questions in front of the class. Meanwhile, correct mistakes if any.Step 4 ConsolidationFirst, show five small pictures to the students.Second, lead the students to get enough information from the pictures and know what they are doing.Third, divide those pictures into five different sections to compare present progressive tense with past progressive tense. Ask five students to do the task. And it can help the students to understand the differences in order to master past progressive tense.Finally, make a short conclusion.Step 5 Pair-workLet the students look at the conversation and give them three minutes to discuss it with his or her partner. Then ask several pairs of students to role play the conversation. After that, lead the students to choose the best pair.Step 6 PracticeHere are six sentence for the students and tell them to finish it in four minutes and then ask six students to do the task individually. After they answer the question, make proper comments. Then finish the rest of the exercises.Step 7 TranslationPrepare six sentences for the students and ask them to put them into English. Give them four minutes to do the exercises. After that, invite six students to read what they wrote to the whole class. Correct mistakes if necessary.Step 8 Blackboard Design現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)(present progressive tense):表示現(xiàn)在或最近一段時(shí)間正在發(fā)生的動(dòng)作。結(jié)構(gòu):am/is/are + v-ing現(xiàn)在分詞變化規(guī)則:1. 直接在詞尾加ing;2. 以不發(fā)音字母e結(jié)尾的,去掉e加ing;3. 重讀閉音節(jié)中,以一個(gè)輔音字母結(jié)尾的,雙寫輔音字母再加ing。Step 9 After-class Reflection 本
