Master the names of TV shows.2.Master the sentence patterns“Do you want to?” “What do you think of?” “I dont mind them.” “I cant stand them.”II. Teaching difficult pointsTo practice the pattern “What do you think of?” and talk about plans.Teaching procedures. Warm-up & Lead in1. Play a related video to stimulate students attentions. 2. Show some pictures of TV shows and learn the new words.3. Give students a few seconds to memorize the new words about TV shows and ask them to match the shows.II. Match the TV shows with the pictures ag (1a)III. Pattern drills For example: T: What do you want to watch tonight? S: I want to watch. T: What do you think of? S: I love/ dont mind/ cant stand them.IV. Listening (1b)1. Tell Ss to read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows.2. Listen once, number the shows1-4, check the answers.3. Play the recording again, make choices and check the answers.4. Listen and read after the tape scripts.V. Practice the conversation (1c)1. Pair-work& Group workLet Ss read the conversation after the teacher. Then let Ss to practice using the shows and expressions.2. GameLook at the expressions and say the sentences. This step can help students consolidate the sentence patterns.3. Make a conversation.Ask students to make their own conversations according to the example.VI. Interview.Make an interview of their classmates, write down their names, shows and opinions. Then give a report.VII. SummaryMake a conclusion of the words and sentence patterns.VIII. Homework.To write a paragraph about the TV shows you like and you dont like. Use the words and sentences we learned today.
