Good morning, everyone. Its my honor to have this opportunity to share my lesson with you. Im XXX, from XXX School. Now Ill say the review lesson of unit 5 in Book One. Ill prepare to say the lesson from four parts. Part One Analysis of the Teaching Material (一) STATUS AND FUNCTION 1.This is an important lesson in Book One. From this lesson, it starts asking the Ss the sample questions. To attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To start listening “Word Bank” and tell the Ss to remember the new words. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material. 2. This lesson is the last period of Unit 5. So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this book.3. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English. (二)ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTS The Ss has learned English for about three months so far. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now. (三)TEACHING AIMS AND DEMANDS The teaching aims basis is established according to Junior School English syllabus provision. 1. Knowledge objects (1) To make the Ss know how to use the target sentences “Do you have. . . .” “Does she/he have.”. (2) To review the words “basketball, soccer ball, baseball, volleyball, tennis racket”, etc. (3) To finish some exercises. 2. Ability objects (1) To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2) To train the Ss ability of working in pairs. (3) To develop the Ss abilities of communication by the revision of the useful structures. 3. Moral objects (1) To enable the Ss to be active and love life. (2) To enable the Ss to do more exercises. (四)TEACHING KEY AND DIFFICULT POINTS The teaching key and difficult points basis is established according to Sample A of Lesson Six in the teaching materials position and function. 1. Key points: (1).To help the Ss to communicate with each other. (2).To enable the Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3).To develop the Ss interest in English. 2.Difficult points: (1) To make dialogues and act them out. (2) To write the right whole sentences. (五) TEACHING AIDS Multi-media computer, Powerpoint, sports things and so on. They will be needed in this class. Part Two The Teaching Methods 1. Communicative teaching method 2. Audio-visual teaching method 3. Task-based” teaching method As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use TBLT. That is to say, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of this unit, and Ill give them some tasks and exercises to help them recall the knowledge of Unit 5. Part Three Teaching Procedures Step 1 Greeting Just greet Ss as usual. Step 2 Chant This is also the lead-in of this lesson. Because the chant is made of the target language of this unit, so the purpose of this step is to arouse Ss interest and memory of this unit. Step 3 Words review In this step, Ill let Ss review the words by showing them pictures one by one, such as basketball, soccer ball, baseball, volleyball, tennis racket. The purpose of the design is to make sure Ss can remember the words and also prepare for the next step, that is step 4. Step 4 Make sentences In this step, Ill first show Ss the sentence patterns, including “I have, I dont have, Do you have?”, “She/he has, She doesnt have, Does she/he have?”. This is the key step of this lesson, because if can review all the affirmative sentences in this unit, and it can also develop Ss abilities of speaking, and cooperating with each others. Step 5 Step 5 is similar with step 4, also make sentences, but use the phrase Lets. Step 6 Summary In this step, Ill make a short summary of this unit, this will help Ss have a clear idea of what we have learned before, and prepare for the following part. Step 7 Self-check Ill give Ss several mins, let Ss do some exercises, in order to check whether they understand or not. And the last step is step 8. Step 8 Homework Ill let Ss finish the exercise book. In order to consolidate the key points of this unit, the last part comes to blackboard design. Part Four Blackboard Design In this class, Ill devide the board
