第四課時(shí) 詞匯課一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容discovering useful words and expressions (p. 3); using words and expressions (p. 42) 二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)在本節(jié)課結(jié)束時(shí),學(xué)生能夠l 查字典確定詞匯在具體語(yǔ)境中的含義。l 了解本單元重點(diǎn)詞匯的用法并在語(yǔ)境中使用這些詞匯。三、教學(xué)步驟步驟一 檢查作業(yè)請(qǐng)學(xué)生在限定時(shí)間內(nèi)根據(jù)括號(hào)內(nèi)的英文注釋從本單元找出適當(dāng)?shù)脑~匯填空,然后教師找?guī)讉€(gè)學(xué)生分別說(shuō)出答案。設(shè)計(jì)意圖:打破常規(guī)枯燥的英英互譯模式,采取空出課文句子中的重點(diǎn)詞匯,請(qǐng)學(xué)生根據(jù)該詞的英文釋義填詞的方式檢測(cè)他們對(duì)重點(diǎn)詞匯含義的理解;同時(shí)也使他們體會(huì)這些詞匯在語(yǔ)境中的應(yīng)用。步驟二重點(diǎn)詞匯學(xué)習(xí)1.查字典:教師和學(xué)生一起翻開(kāi)詞典,按照字母順序在詞典中查到belong所在頁(yè)。找到belong to的詞條,學(xué)習(xí)其用法?;蛘哒?qǐng)學(xué)生看學(xué)生用書(shū)p. 3練習(xí)三關(guān)于belong to的解釋和用法。2.用法連線(xiàn):請(qǐng)學(xué)生獨(dú)立將練習(xí)三例句中的用法與詞典中相應(yīng)的釋義連線(xiàn)。然后教師請(qǐng)幾個(gè)學(xué)生說(shuō)出答案。如果答案有錯(cuò)誤,請(qǐng)其他學(xué)生幫助改正。3. 選擇填空:請(qǐng)學(xué)生在限定時(shí)間內(nèi)獨(dú)立完成以下選擇填空。然后教師請(qǐng)幾個(gè)學(xué)生說(shuō)出答案,如果答案有錯(cuò)誤,請(qǐng)其他學(xué)生幫助改正。4利用例句總結(jié)學(xué)習(xí)其他詞匯。讓學(xué)生觀察例句,選擇藍(lán)色詞在句中的確切含義;并用該詞或詞組造句或者翻譯句子。每個(gè)句子請(qǐng)一個(gè)學(xué)生做,其他學(xué)生可以發(fā)表自己的不同意見(jiàn)。有問(wèn)題大家一起更正。設(shè)計(jì)意圖:教授學(xué)生查字典確定詞義的方法,提高學(xué)生利用工具書(shū)解決問(wèn)題的能力。通過(guò)造句和翻譯句子練習(xí)使用本單元重點(diǎn)詞匯。步驟三 詞匯練習(xí) 1.連詞成句:請(qǐng)學(xué)生按照例子所示將ppt中的詞連成句子。然后教師請(qǐng)幾個(gè)學(xué)生說(shuō)出答 案。如果答案有錯(cuò)誤,請(qǐng)其他學(xué)生幫助改正。2.段落填空:讓學(xué)生在限定時(shí)間內(nèi)從所給詞匯中選出符合句意的詞匯填空。然后教師讓幾個(gè)學(xué)生說(shuō)出答案,如果答案有錯(cuò)誤,其他學(xué)生和教師幫助改正。3.編短文:請(qǐng)學(xué)生四人一組從本單元詞匯表中選取詞匯,編寫(xiě)一篇短文,所使用的本單元的詞匯越多越好。用投影儀展示幾組學(xué)生的短文(或者請(qǐng)兩組學(xué)生在前面做,將短文寫(xiě)在黑板上),標(biāo)出用到的生詞。其他學(xué)生和教師一起閱讀短文,主要注意生詞的使用是否正確。如果有問(wèn)題大家一起更正。設(shè)計(jì)意圖:針對(duì)本單元的核心詞匯進(jìn)行各種練習(xí),檢測(cè)學(xué)生對(duì)所學(xué)詞匯在不同語(yǔ)境中的靈活應(yīng)用能力。步驟四 作業(yè) 注:教師可以打印下列短文發(fā)給學(xué)生the rescue of abu simbel(阿布神廟)among the greatest man-made objects are the great wall of china, the pyramids of egypt and the aswan high dam(阿斯旺水壩), which is also in egypt.the aswan high dam was completed in 1970. it was built for several reasons. first, the river nile used to flood large areas every year and destroyed houses and crops. the aswan high dam controls the waters of the nile so that they now run regularly all through the year. second, electricity can now be made from the water which rushes through the base of the dam. about 20-50% of the electricity which egypt needs is produced from this dam. before they began to build the dam, people already knew there were going to be several problems. as a result of the dam, the water level of the lake was going to rise by 63 metres. it would be necessary to move 53,000 people from their villages. also, around the areas of the aswan there are a lot of important old temples, which date from about 1250 bc. these temples were in danger; when the dam was finished, many of them would be covered by the water of the new lake. one of the most important temples in danger was the one at abu simbel. it was carved in rock and had on the outside four large stone statues, each of which was 20 metres high. engineers studied the problems and made several different plans for rescuing the temple. the engineers thought about all the possible plans. at last, they decided to move the whole temple stone by stone and rebuild it over the water level of the new lake. the project lasted four years and cost one billion us dollars. in all, 1,700 workers and 200 other people worked on the project. first, each stone was marked with a number. the pieces of stone were then carried to the new place, 60 metres higher up the hills.the project was successfully completed in 1966. today you can either fly to abu simbel or you can take a boat from across the lake. there, by the waters of the new lake, you can see the tall stone statues and visit the temple of the gods. the place is quiet and very beautiful. all visitors who go there believe that it was right that the temple was rescued. answer the following questions: 1. where is the a
