Unit 6 An old man tried to move the mountains Section A 1a2d一、Analysis學(xué)情分析本單元的教學(xué)為八年級下期內(nèi)容,學(xué)生已通過一年半的初中英語學(xué)習(xí),掌握了一些語法知識。比如一般現(xiàn)在時、現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時、一般過去時、if引導(dǎo)的狀語從句等,所以對本課型的狀語從句和一般過去時態(tài)用法理解掌握起來應(yīng)該很容易。學(xué)生在小學(xué)語文里就學(xué)過愚公移山、西游記等童話故事,對童話故事有一定的了解,學(xué)生對此話題也有一定興趣。因此可以以通過播放卡通片,然后再問問題的方式引入話題。二、Goals 教學(xué)目標(biāo)1. Ability goals 能力目標(biāo)1) 教會學(xué)生正確掌握并運用連詞unless, as soon as, sothat引導(dǎo)狀語從句的用法。2) 積累豐富與講故事相關(guān)的話題詞匯、語塊和句子表達(dá)。3) 通過運用所學(xué)知識進(jìn)行對話及聽說練習(xí)。2. Emotional goals 情感目標(biāo)對于事物要有自己的看法, 用辯證的看待傳統(tǒng)的故事, 以及生活中的事物。三、Important and difficult teaching points教學(xué)重難點1. 教會學(xué)生能夠用英語講故事。2. 教會學(xué)生能夠迅速準(zhǔn)確地從所給材料中獲取信息。3. 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生掌握講故事的固定句型。4. 熟練運用所學(xué)的連詞及狀語從句的運用。5. 動詞過去式的用法。四、Teaching procedures Step1. Leading-in and warming-up Greet Ss and play the cartoon Yu Gong moves a mountain.Then ask Ss to answer some questions about it.1. Whats the name of the story? ( Yu Gong moves a mountain. )2. Who are the main characters in the story?(Yu Gong and his family.)3. Do you know anything else about it? ( Its a traditional Chinese story.)4. Do you know other traditional Chinese stories?() (Pictures)Step 2. New points input Play a video about a conversation and get students to figure out the answers to the three questions.1. How does the story begin?(Once upon a time)2. What happened next?(Well ,the old man told his family that they should all help him)3. Where would they put all the earth and stone from the mountains?(In the sea )Step 3. Pairwork (1c)1. Have students discuss how to tell the story of Yu Gong Moves the Mountains. Then let some pairs ask and answer the questions. A: How does the story happen? B:Once upon a time, there was a very old man. There were two mountains near his house. They were so high and big that it took a long time to walk to the other side.A: What happened next?B: The old man told his family that they should all help him to move the mountains.A: Where would they put all the earth and stone from the mountains? B: They would put them into the sea. 2. Have students work in pairs to read the conversation on page 101. Then let some pairs to read the conversation.Step 4. Listening practice1. 2a1) Talk about the four pictures “What are the people doing in the four pictures?”2) Listen the recording and number the pictures 14 2. 2b1) Read the 5 sentences and explain the sentences.2) Listen again and circle the words 3) Check the answer.Step5.
