閱讀理解目的意圖題高考頻度: 難易程度:Reading can be a social activity. Think of the people who belong to book groups. They choose books to read and then meet to discuss them. Now, the website BookC turns the page on the traditional idea of a book group.Members go on the site and register the books they own and would like to share. BookCrossing provides an identification number to stick inside the book. Then the person leaves it in a public place, hoping that the book will have an adventure, traveling far and wide with each new reader who finds it. Bruce Pederson, the managing director of BookCrossing, says, “The two things that change your life are the people you meet and books you read. BookCrossing combines both.” Members leave books on park benches and buses, in train stations and coffee shops. Whoever finds their book will go to the site and record where they found it. People who find a book can also leave a journal entry describing what they thought of it. E-mails are then sent to the BookCrossers to keep them updated about where their books have been found. Bruce Pederson says the idea is for people not to be selfish by keeping a book to gather dust on a shelf at home. BookCrossing is part of a trend among people who want to get back to the “real” and not the virtual(虛擬). To encourage readers to share their ideas. 【文章大意】本文屬于說明文,介紹了BookC所進(jìn)行的分享圖書活動(dòng)的目的以及具體過程。到讀書小組的目的正是為了介紹網(wǎng)站BookC。故B正確?!緫?yīng)試必備】 理解作者的意圖、觀點(diǎn)和態(tài)度每篇文章都有一個(gè)特定的寫作目的,或是向讀者傳遞某個(gè)信息,或是愉悅讀者,或是講授某個(gè)道理。而這些信息通常并不是明確表達(dá)出來,而是隱含在文章之中。因此,這類問題要求考生在理解文章總體內(nèi)容的基礎(chǔ)上,去領(lǐng)會(huì)作者的言外之意。寫作意圖題是指作者通過文章想達(dá)到什么樣的目的,可以說,每個(gè)人寫文章都有他的用意:根據(jù)文章的論述,推斷作者的寫作目的以及作者情感態(tài)度。 要求考生分析作者運(yùn)用某一寫作手法的目的。常見的提問方式有:(1)What was Mrs Smiths attitude to the author at the end of the story?(2) The writer uses . to(show that) _.(3)By quoting ., the author intends to _.(4)By telling the story of ., the author intends to _.(5)The story of . is used to _.(6)What would the author most likely continue to talk about in the next paragraph(s)?(7)The purpose of the writer to write the passage is _. 作者運(yùn)用某種寫作手法的目的或是要引出主題、突出主題,或是要吸引讀者關(guān)注主題,或是要把主題說明得更清楚。常用的寫作手法的目的有:(1)開頭提出問題讓讀者關(guān)注主題。(2)簡介相關(guān)事物引出主題。(3)列舉具體事例說明主題。(4)運(yùn)用比擬或比喻讓讀者容易理解抽象或陌生的事物。(5)引語說明或論證某個(gè)觀點(diǎn),或使自己的觀點(diǎn)更有說服力。無論哪種手法,也不管出于何種目的,都必定與主題相關(guān),為主題服務(wù)。推斷寫作目的的兩條思路題目要求考生推斷作者寫文章的目的,題干中常有purpose,或后面需接表示目的的動(dòng)詞不定式intend to, mean to, in order to等。推斷作者寫文章的目的有兩大思路,解題時(shí)要綜合考慮:1. 主旨推斷法。寫作意圖與文章主旨密切相關(guān),因此,解答這類題跟解答主旨大意題和選擇文章標(biāo)題一樣,用略讀法,即重點(diǎn)關(guān)注文章首尾段和各段的首尾句,找到主題句,抓住文章主旨,然后由主旨來推斷作者的寫作目的。議論文、新聞報(bào)道、說明文等,其主題句多在文首。2. 文體推斷法。 作者的寫作目的與文體密切相關(guān)。(1)議論文的目的通常是說服讀者接受或贊同某一觀點(diǎn),倡導(dǎo)某種做法等。(2)說明文的目的是使讀者獲得某種知識(shí),提出某種建議、勸告或呼吁,或希望引起有關(guān)部門或人士對(duì)某現(xiàn)象給予重視。(3)記敘文的目的一般是分享一段有趣的經(jīng)歷,告訴讀者一個(gè)有趣的故事,使讀者獲得樂趣;若是夾敘夾議的文章,則是表達(dá)作者的感悟或給讀者某種教育或啟示。(4)廣告是作者要推銷一種產(chǎn)品或一種服務(wù),因此其目的是吸引更多顧客、游客、讀者、訂戶、觀眾等。 “A good book for children should simply be a good book in its own right, says Mollie Hunter. Born and brought up near Edinburgh, Mollie has devoted her talents to writing primarily for young people. She firmly believes that there is and should always be a wider audience for any good book whatever its main market is. In Mollies opinion, it is necessary to make full use of language and she enjoys telling a story, which is what every writer should be doing. If you arent telling a story, youre a very dead writer indeed. she says. With the chief function of a writer being to entertain, Mollie is indeed an entertainer. I have this great love of not only the meaning of language but of the music of language, she says, This love goes back to early childhood. I had a school teacher who used to ask us what we would like to be when we grew up and, because my family always had dogs, and I was very good at handling them, I said I wanted to work with dogs, and the teacher always said Nonsense, Mollie; dear, youll be a writer. So finally I thought that this woman must have something, since she was a good teacher and I decided when I was nine that I would be a writer.This childhood intention is described in her novel, A Sound of Chariots, which although written in the third person is clearly autobiographical(自傳體的)and gives a picture both of Mollie s ambition and her struggle towards its achievement. Thoughts of her childhood inevitably(不可避免地)brought thoughts of the time when her home was still a village with buttercup(金鳳花)meadows and strawberry fieldssadly now covered with modern houses. I was once taken back to see it and I felt that somebody had lain dirty hands all over my childhood. Ill never go back, she said. Never.
