It appears that they have been waiting for a long time.,Grammar on the use of “it”,it用作形式賓語,用于vt. +it+賓語補足語(adj./n. phrase)+賓語從句或vt. +it+賓語從句或vi. +prep. +it+賓語從句中。當(dāng)復(fù)合賓語中的賓語是從句時,往往把賓語置于其補足語的后面,而將先行詞it放在全句謂語動詞和賓語補足語的中間。,e.g.,I think it very important that we should learn English pronunciation well. I take it from your silence that you dont want to go. You must see to it that children get up in time.,引導(dǎo)詞it用在強調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)中,即It +be+被強調(diào)部分(主/賓/狀語)+who/that引導(dǎo)的從句。當(dāng)我們要強調(diào)句子的某一部分(通常是主語、賓語或狀語)時, 常用“It +be+被強調(diào)部分+who/that”結(jié)構(gòu)。當(dāng)被強調(diào)部分是人時用who或that,其他情況用that。,e.g.,It was we who held a class meeting in the club yesterday.(強調(diào)主語) It was yesterday that we held a class meeting in the club.(強調(diào)狀語) It was a class meeting that we held in the club yesterday.(強調(diào)賓語),Grammar on the use of “it”,Further practice,1. _ was Anne that had a severe heart attack last night. a)That b) This c) It d) She 2.
