4、d.(Jingzhang Rairroad),Background knowledge,詹天佑(18611919),江西人。1872年,年僅11歲的他便懷著學(xué)習(xí)西方技藝的理想到美國(guó)就讀。于1877年以優(yōu)異的成績(jī)中學(xué)畢業(yè),考入耶魯大學(xué)土木工程系,專攻鐵路工程。四年后,他以突出的成績(jī)?cè)诋厴I(yè)考試中名列第一,并于畢業(yè)后回國(guó)。 詹天佑從事鐵路事業(yè)30多年,幾乎和當(dāng)時(shí)我國(guó)的每一條鐵路都有不同程度的關(guān)系。,1905年,清政府決定興建我國(guó)第一條鐵路京張鐵路(北京至張家口)。英俄都想插手,由于中國(guó)人民的強(qiáng)烈反對(duì),他們的企圖沒(méi)能得逞。在這關(guān)鍵時(shí)刻,詹天佑毫不猶豫地接下了這個(gè)艱巨的任務(wù),全權(quán)負(fù)責(zé)京張鐵路的修筑。19
