information-technologyjobs.Psychologistsdiscoveredthatifsomeonespoke
toatelegraphoperatorwhilehewaskeyingamessage,theoperatorwasmore
likelytomakeerrors.Later,psychologistsdeterminedthatwheneverworkers
neededtofbcusonajobthatrequiredthemonitoringofdata,presentation
wasallimportant.Usingthisknowledge,cockpits(駛艙)forfighterpilots

"Multitasking"wasborn;insteadofsimplyworkingononeprogramforhours
atatime,acomputeruserworksonseveralsimultaneously.Officeworkers
nowstareatcomputerscreensofoverwhelmingcomplexity,astheyjuggle
