Afteronlyafewhours,thecommunitygardenlookedtallychanged.Despiteourhardwork,

andspreadthenewsaboutthevote.Usingthephotographs,wewouldthencollectsignaturesto

Aftertwoweeks,itcametimetopresentatthelocalcouncilmeeting.MydadandI,alongwith

severalofmyschoolfriends,arrivedearly,eachofuscarryingastackofphotosshowingthe

garden'stransformation.Themeetingroomwaspacked,andwhenitwasourturntospeak,we

sharedourstoryandpassionforpreservingthisgreence.Wepassedaroundthephotos,highlighting

thebeautyandpotentialofthegarden.Tooursurprise,severalcouncilmembersexpressedtheir

support,mentioningthattheyhadreceivednumerouscallsandemailsfromconcernedcitizens,all

thankstoourcampaign.

Intheend,oureffortspaidoff.Thecouncilvotedtonotonlypreservethecommunitygarden
