,句中修飾名詞或代詞的從句叫做定語從句。定語從句有兩要素，其一，被定語從句修飾

的名詞或代詞叫做先行詞。定語從句必須放在先行詞之后，對其先行詞起限定作用。

二、關系代詞

1.指人的關系代詞：

<1>先行詞在從句中作主語

eg:Adoctorisapersonwho/thatlooksafterpeople'shealth.

<2>先行詞在從句中作賓語

eg:MrWhiteinvitedmanyfriendstohisparty(who/whom/that)herespectedmuch.

<3>：⑴指人的關系代詞中，在從句中充當主語的是who和that,且在句中不可以省略。

(2)指人的關系代詞中，在從句中充當賓語的是who,Ihat和whom,且可以省略。

2.指物的關系代詞：

<1>先行詞在從句中作主語

eg:Theriverwhich/thatrunsthroughthecitybringsJSlotsofpleasure.

<2>先行詞在從句中作賓語

eg:Thebook(which/that)youjustlaidontheshelfismine.

<3>：如何選定語從句中的關系詞：

(1)指物的關系代詞中，在從句中充當主語的是which和that,且在句中不可以省略。

(2)指物的關系代詞中，在從句中充當賓語的是which和that,且可以省略。
