Whenfloodcannotbepreventedbyemergencyfloodcontroloperations,orwhenthefloodrateexceedsthepumpingcapacityinvolvingtheriskofsinking,fixthepresentpositionoftheship,reportdistresssituationtotherelevantexternalorganizationsinaccordancewiththeEmergencyReportingmanualavailableonboardtheshipforimmediaterescueoperations.當船舶進水不能控制，或進水量超過排水量，船舶有沉沒危險時，確定船位，根據應急報告手冊報告遇險情況，請求救助。Cautions:1.WhenCollisionstationisordered,eachpersonshallbesuitablydressedimmediately,andassembleatthemusterstationafter注意：closingthescuttlesandentrancedoorintheaccommodation.當發(fā)生碰撞時，船員要立即著裝，關閉生活區(qū)的天窗和門窗，到指定地點集合2.Closureofwatertightdoorsofacompartmentshallbeexecutedattheorderoftheofficerinchargeafterconfirmingthatnopersonsarelefttherein.當得到擔當責任者確認艙室內無人后，再關閉水密門。Whentheshipisinvolvedinmarinecasualtiessuchascollisionsorgrounding,tanksoundingshallbestartedimmediatelyaftertheaccident,andregularsoundingsshallbetakenthereafter.當船舶發(fā)生海事，如碰撞或擱淺，應立即對各柜進行測量，并保持定時測量。Theresponsibleofficers(Master,ChiefEngineer,ChiefOfficer,FirstEngineer,etc.)shallmakethemselvesfamiliarwiththepumpingcapacityandthelimitsofbuoyancyoftheshipsothatthebesttimingofordering“AbandonShip”maynotbemissed.擔任責任的高級船員（船長，輪機長，大副，大管輪等）應熟悉泵的容量和船舶所需的最小浮力，以便決定最佳的棄船時間。
