4.haveto的意思是“必須、不得不”,往往強(qiáng)調(diào)由于客觀原因而必須做某事。haveto后接動(dòng)詞原形;haveto有人稱、數(shù)和時(shí)態(tài)的變化,其第三人稱單數(shù)形式為hasto,其疑問形式和否定形式要借助于助動(dòng)詞do或does來完成。例如:Wehavetolookafteroursisterathome.我們不得不在家照顧我們的妹妹。Doeshehavetogetupearlytomorrowmorning?明天早上他必須早起嗎?Idon’thavetostayathometoday.今天我不必呆在家里。情態(tài)動(dòng)詞“haveto”與其他的情態(tài)動(dòng)詞如“can”,“may”“must”和“should”

不同。1)這4個(gè)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞沒有人稱的變化,

而haveto有,它的第三人稱單數(shù)為“hasto”如:

這4個(gè)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞在一般疑問句中將它們放在句首,在否定句中直接在他們后邊加not即可。我們以can為例:--Canhegowithus?他能和我們一起去嗎?--Hecan’tgowithus.他不能和我們一起去。而“haveto”要加助動(dòng)詞do,does或did才可能完成其疑問句、否定句。5.must/havetomust表示主觀“必須”;haveto表示客觀客觀需要,即“不得不”。Idon’tlikethisTVset.Imustbuyanewone.ThisTVsetdoesn’twork.Wehavetobuyanewone.(now)Youmustgetupatfivetomorrow.We(will)havetogetupearlytomorrow—we’regoingtoDevon.(future)IhadtoleaveearlybecauseIwasn’tfeelingwell.Shesaidshemust/hadtoseethemanager.(past)
