師曠是我國古代聞名的音樂家。一天,師曠正為晉平公演奏,突然聽到晉平公嘆氣說:“有許多東西我還不知道,可我現(xiàn)在已70多歲,再想學也太遲了吧!”師曠笑著答道:“那您就抓緊點蠟燭啊?!睍x平公有些不興奮:“你這話什么意思?求知與點蠟燭有什么關(guān)系?答非所問!你不是有意在戲弄我吧?”師曠抓緊解釋:“我怎敢戲弄大王您啊!只是我聽人說,年少時學習,就像走在朝陽下;壯年時學習,如同在正午的陽光下行走;老年時學習,那便是在夜間點起蠟燭當心前行。燭光雖然微弱,比不上陽光,但總比摸黑強吧?!睍x平公聽了,點頭稱是。人生感悟:活到老學到老知無涯,生有涯,活到老學到老。自誕生之日起,學習就成為整個人類及其每一個個體的一項基本活動。從幼年、少年、青年、中年直至老年,學習將伴隨人的整個生活歷程并影響人一生的進展。古人說:“書山有路勤為徑,學海無涯苦作舟?!睕]有止境地學習,是每一個向上者必要的。人要想不斷地進步,就得活到老學到老。在學習上不能有厭足之心。之所以提出終身學習的觀點,由于人類幾千年積累下來的學問文化,豈是只用短短幾十年的一生能學得完的呢?故先賢莊子曾說:“吾生也有涯而知也無涯?!焙螞r現(xiàn)代社會的學問壽命大為縮短,個人用十幾年所學習的學問,會很快過時。假如不再學習更新,立刻就進入所謂的“學問半衰期”。據(jù)統(tǒng)計,當今世界90%的學問是近三十年產(chǎn)生的,學問半衰期只有五至七年。而且,人的力量就像電池一樣,會隨著時間和使用而漸漸流失。因此,人們的學問需要不斷“加油”、“充電”。當今時代,世界在飛速進展,學問更新的速度日益加快,人們要適應變化的世界,就必需努力做到活到老、學到老,要有終身學習的態(tài)度。以老人為例,也得學會如何使用洗衣機、微波爐甚至是電腦,不然享受不了科技帶來的樂趣與便捷。終身學習這方面,魯迅先生是榜樣,先生在臨死前一個小時還在寫文章呢!還有華人首富李嘉誠,他每天晚上看書學習,這個好習慣已堅持了幾十年。更有甚者認為,只是“活到老,學到老”還遠遠不夠,比爾·蓋茨就講過一句話:在21世紀,人們比的不是學習,而是學習的速度。在現(xiàn)今的企業(yè)環(huán)境里,沒有打不破的鐵飯碗。你的工作在今日可能不行或缺,可是這并不意味著明天這個職位仍舊有存在的必要,所以我們必需用不斷學習來防患于未然。世間有“知足者常樂”一說。而且,大多數(shù)人都承認,
