Femalechimpanzeescarefullynurturetheiryoung.Babiescangrasptheirmother‘sfurtorideonthemother’sbackatabout6months.Aftertheyareweaned(斷奶),chimpanzeesbegintobuildtheirownsleepingnestsoutofvegetationandnotusetheirmother'snestanymore.Youngchimpanzeesstaywiththeirmotherforabout7years.
