OnlysomeoftheParthenonsculpturesinAthensarecurrentlyondisplay.Mosthaveeitherlongbeeninstoreorarestillonthebuildingandatcontinuingriskfromweatheringandpollution.ItishopedthattheywillallbeputonpublicdisplayintheNewAcropolisMuseum,whenworkonitiscompleted.ThereisnoquestionthattheSculpturescouldeverbere-attachedtothebuildingitselfduetoitsfragilityandthecontinuingdangersofairpollution.2.ParthenonSculpturesinLondon

AllofthesculpturesinLondonareonpermanentpublicdisplayintheBritishMuseum,wheretheycanbeseenbyaworldaudienceofnearlyfivemillionvisitorsayearfreeofentrycharge,inaspeciallydesigned,coherentsuiteofgallerieswhichincludesspecialfeaturesdesignedtoensurethesculpturesareaccessibleforallvisitors.TheBritishMuseum'sMORIVisitorSurveysconsistentlyshowthattheParthenonSculpturesareseenbyapproximately55%to60%ofallvisitorsandaftertheEgyptianGalleriesarethesecondmostpopulardisplayintheMuseum.

IncollaborationwithothermuseumsholdingmaterialfromtheParthenon,theBritishMuseumiscurrentlyundertakingapilotprojecttowardsa3-Dvirtualreconstructionofthebuilding.3.ParthenonSculpturesinothermuseums
