詞匯場(chǎng)與框架語義學(xué)視角下的《孫子兵法》英譯研究的開題報(bào)告Abstract《孫子兵法》isoneofthemostinfluentialmilitarytreatisesinancientChinesehistory.ItstranslationsinEnglishhaveattractedtheattentionofscholarsfromvariousfields,butthereisstillroomforfurtheranalysisfromtheperspectivesoflexicalfieldandframesemantics.Thisstudyaimstoexaminethelexicalandsemanticfeaturesof《孫子兵法》anditsEnglishtranslations,andexplorethefactorsthatmayaffectthetranslationqualityintermsoflexicalandsemanticaspects.Basedonthecorpusoforiginaltextandselectedtranslations,thisstudyadoptsqualitativeanalysismethodssuchascorpus-basedanalysis,lexicalfieldanalysis,andframesemanticanalysis.TheresearchfindingswillcontributetotheunderstandingoftheculturaldifferencesbetweenChineseandEnglishandprovideanewperspectiveontranslationstudies.Keywords:SunTzu，lexicalfield,framesemantics,translationstudiesIntroduction《孫子兵法》isaclassicalChinesemilitarytreatisethathasbeenwidelyreadandstudiedforovertwothousandyears.Itstimelesswisdomandstrategicadvicehaveattractedtheattentionofnotonlymilitaryprofessionalsbutalsoscholarsindifferentfieldssuchasphilosophy,psychologyandmanagementstudies.Althoughtherehavebeenmanytranslationsof《孫子兵法》inEnglish,thereisstillmuchtoexploreintermsofthelexicalandsemanticfeaturesofthetextanditstranslations.Thisresearchproposestoapplythetheoriesandmethodsoflexicalfieldandframesemanticstoinvestigatethelexicalandsemanticfeaturesof《孫子兵法》anditsEnglishtranslations,andexplorethefactorsthatmayaffectthetranslationqualityintermsoflexicalandsemanticaspects.LiteratureReviewTranslationstudieshavebeenaprominentfieldofresearchinthepastfewdecades,withscholarsattemptingtouncoverthecomplexprocessesinvolvedintranslatingfromonelanguagetoanother.Thelexicalandsemanticaspectsoftranslationhavealwaysbeenanimportantfocusofresearch.AsLakoffandJohnson(1980)pointedout,thewayweunderstandhumanexperienceislargelyshapedbytheconceptualstructuresoflanguage,whichincludetheorganizationoflexicalfieldsandtheframesthatstructureourknowledgeoftheworld.Hence,thelexicalandsemanticfeaturesofatextaresignificantwhenconsideringitstranslation.LexicalfieldtheorywasfirstproposedbyJostTrierinthe1930sandhassincebeendevelopedbyanumberofscholars(e.g.,Lyons,1977;Pustejovsky,1995).Alexicalfieldreferstoagroupofsemanticallyrelatedwordsthatshareacertainconcept.Lexicalfieldanalysisinvolvesexaminingthedifferencesinmeaningandusageofwordswithinthesamefield,whichcanhelpusunderstandtheculturalandconceptualdifferencesbetweenlanguages.Framesemantics,ontheotherhand,wasfoundedbyCharlesFillmoreinthe1970sandisbasedontheassumptionthatknowledgeisorganizedintomentalstructurescalled'frames',whichprovideacontextforunderstandingwordsandphrases(Fillmore1976).Frameanalysisexamineshowthemeaningofawordisaffectedbythecontextinwhichitisused,aswellastheunderlyingconceptualstructurethatshapesourunderstandingoftheworld.Frameanalysishelpstouncovertheculturalandideologicaldifferencesbetweenlanguages,andcanbeausefultoolfortranslationstudies.ResearchQuestions1.Whatarethelexicalfieldsandsemanticframespresentin《孫子兵法》?2.HowdothesefeaturesdifferinitsEnglishtranslations?3.Whatfactorsmayaffectthetranslationqualityintermsoflexicalandsemanticaspects?4.Whatimplicationscanbedrawnfromtheanalysisfortranslationstudies?MethodologyThisstudywilluseacorpus-basedapproachtoanalyzetheoriginaltextandselectedtranslationsof《孫子兵法》.ThecorpuswillconsistoftheoriginaltextandEnglishtranslationsbymultipletranslators,withafocusoncomparingthedifferencesinlexicalandsemanticfeaturesbetweentheChineseandEnglishversions.TheanalysiswillinvolvetheuseofsoftwaretoolssuchasAntConcforcorpus-basedanalysis,WordNetforlexicalfieldanalysis,andFrameNetforframesemanticanalysis.Theresultswillbepresentedintheformoftablesandgraphs,withadetaileddiscussionandexplanationofthefindings.ExpectedResultsThestudyisexpectedtoproducethefollowingresults:1.Acomprehensiveoverviewofthelexicalfieldsandsemanticframespresentin《孫子兵法》.2.AnanalysisofthedifferencesinlexicalandsemanticfeaturesbetweentheChineseandEnglishversionsof《孫子兵法》,andanexaminationofthefactorsthatmayaffectthetranslationquality.3.Implicationsfortranslationstudies,particularlywithregardtothelexicalandsemanticaspectsoftranslation.ConclusionThisstudyaimstoprovideanewperspectiveonthetranslationof《孫子兵法》byexaminingitslexicalandsemanticfeatures.Itishopedthattheresearchfindingswill
