“一段時間+later”,“after+一段時間”和“in+一段時間”都可以表示過去的一段時間之后,用于過去時態(tài)。若表示從現(xiàn)在起一段時間之后,只能用“in+一段時間”?！就卣埂俊癷n+一段時間”還可以表示“在一段時間之內(nèi)”。9.Aftersomanyyearsofhardwork,hisbigchancearrived!chance為名詞,意為“機會,機遇”。常見搭配getachancetodosth.,意為“獲得做某事的機會”;haveachancetodo/ofdoingsth.意為“有做某事的機會”;missachance意為“錯過機會”。10.Iaskedhimforadviceonhowtobecomeanastronaut.◆asksb.foradvice意為“向某人請教”;后面的介詞短語onhowtobecomeanastronaut用在名詞advice后作定語,對advice起修飾作用。另外,givesb.advice表示“給某人提建議”。
