[漢譯英難點說明]

1．“能上網(wǎng)”可翻譯為accesstheInternet、haveaccesstotheInternet、havetheInternetaccess。注意internet前要有定冠詞。

2．倍數(shù)的表達看似復雜，實際上不難，關(guān)鍵是抓住規(guī)律。倍數(shù)詞后不要用介詞of，有時也不需as...as...，可以直接接表示量的詞，如size、age、length、weightprice、cost、speed、population。例如：

他年齡是我的二倍。

Heistwicemyage．

他閱讀的速度是我的兩倍。

Hecanreadattwicemyspeed或HecanreadtwiceasfastasIdo．

該教室的面積是我房間面積的四倍。

3．翻譯“盡管”時，能用介詞despite或inspiteof的情況下就不要用從句表達。中國學生習慣于首選though或是although，其實despite的使用頻率要遠遠高于我們的想像。該詞不僅常接名詞，也可在名詞后使用同位語從句或定語從句，
