3、.Weseek,throughtheuseofourimpartialemploymentandpromotionpractices,tohaveadiverseworkforce.Ourorganizationisstrengthenedbycapableindividualswithdiversebackgrounds.Weassignresponsibilitiesanddutiestosecurethefullbenefitofanindividualstalentsandabilitiesandtoprovideeachpersonwithanopportunitytodevelop

7、yisthefoundationofaloyal,cooperativeworkgroup.Wewanttotreatourpeopleasindividuals,withoutcausingtheperceptionofspecialtreatment.Wehavetheresponsibilitytoavoidanyrelationshipthatmayresultinactualorperceivedfavoritism.WeMaintainanEnvironmentFreeofDiscriminationandSexualHarassmentAllUPSemployeeshavethe

8、righttoworkinanenvironmentfreeofanytypeofharassmentanddiscrimination.Sexualharassmentanddiscriminationwillnotbetolerated.ManagersandsupervisorsareresponsibleforensuringthattheyandtheiremployeesunderstandandcomplywithUPSguidelinesandmaintainaprofessionalworkenvironment.Thatresponsibilityincludesrepor

9、tingincidentstotheappropriatemanagementpeople.WeInsistUponIntegrityinOurPeopleWeunderstandthatintegrityisfundamentaltohowwerunourbusinessandessentialtomaintaincompliancewithourpoliciesandlegalrequirements.Operatingwithintegritymeansweprovideanatmosphereinwhichourpeoplecanperformtheirjobsinanethicalm

10、anner.Wepresentourcompanyhonestlytoemployeesand,inturn,expectthemtobehonestwithus.Weexpecthonestyfromourpeopleinalltheirduties,includingtheirhandlingofmoney,merchandise,andpropertywithwhichtheyareentrusted.Weinsistonintegrityinthepreparationandapprovalofallreports.Wealsoexpectourpeopletobehonestinth

12、iththatindividualquicklyandfirmly.Forourcompanytobeknownforitsintegrity,eachoneofusmustmeethighstandards.WePromoteFromWithinGenerally,wefillmanagementpositionsfromwithinourorganization.Indoingsowetakecaretoincludeforconsiderationandnotoverlookqualifiedpeoplewhosepresentjobsmaymakethemlessnoticeablet

13、hanotheremployees.Wefillavacancyfromtheoutsidewhenwecannotlocateoneofourownpeoplewhohastheprofessionalortechnicalskillsrequiredforaparticularassignment.Advancementisbasedonindividualmeritandperformance.Allwhoperformtheirtaskscapablyandhavethecapacitytoassumegreaterresponsibilityareeligible.Observing

14、equalopportunityguidelines,weselectthosewhoseembestfittedtotheposition.Allmanagersandsupervisorsareresponsibleforencouraginganddevelopingcapablepeople,notonlyfortheirowngroupsbutalsoforopeningselsewherewithinourorganization.Weactivelysearchforsuchcapablepeopleandgivethemopportunitiestosucceed.WeMain

15、tainaSpiritofTeamworkThroughoutourorganization,wecapitalizeontheadvantagesofworkingtogetherinaninformalmanner.Althoughdefinedresponsibilitiesareassignedtospecificindividualsinourcompany,weactasacooperativeteam.Combinedefforts,whichhelpanypartofourorganization,servetostrengthenourentireorganization.W

23、eyarewell-suited.WeExpectOurManagersandSupervisorstoTrainTheirPeopleWeconducttrainingschools,workshops,andotherprogramsinordertomeettheneedsofourpeople.However,itistheresponsibilityofourmanagementteamtoensurethattheirpeoplereceiveallthenecessarytrainingandthatitiseffective.Wereviewtrainingregularlyt

24、oseethatitisrelevanttoourcurrentneeds.WeHoldFrequentEvaluationsWithOurEmployeesAboutTheirPerformanceReviewsofeachpersonsperformanceenableustoarriveatamutualunderstandingaboutprogresstowardmeetinggoalsandobjectives.Weholdformalevaluationsperiodically.However,thereisnosubstitutefordailyandweeklyfeedba

25、ckoneachpersonsperformance.Wefollowupontheresultsofallevaluationstoensurethecontinueddevelopmentofourpeople.WeHaveMeaningfulDiscussionsWithOurPeopleCooperationandteamworkamongallourpeoplearenecessaryforthecontinuedsuccessofourbusiness.Tofosterthisspirit,weseektodevelopmeaningfulbusinesslikerelations

28、replacetheimportantroleofthemanagerorsupervisorinemployeerecognition.WePromoteanOpen-doorApproachtoManagingPeopleEverypersonshouldfeelfreetodiscussmatterswithmanagementpeopleinourcompany.Accessibility,however,doesnotrelieveanyoneoftheobligationtorespectdelegatedlinesofauthority.Employeesareencourage

29、dtodiscusstheirideasortrytoresolveadisputedmatterwiththeirimmediatesupervisorbeforeseekingthecounselofothers.Oneofourcompanysstrengthsisthedevelopmentofprofessionalrelationshipsamongeveryone,regardlessofauthorityorresponsibilitylevel.WeGiveEachEmployeeComplaintPrompt,SincereAttentionIfoverlookedorne
