2、 trend of using full stops when teenagers send a text Senior 1 student, this passage mainly serves as the material to strengthen their reading ability as well as their vocabulary building. About StudentsAs Senior 1 students, they are weak in long passage reading. They havent been equipped with much

3、vocabulary and grammar rules. Of course, it must be a tough task for them to grasp the details and comprehend the article accurately, let alone the knowledge beyond text books. The lack of enough basic understanding of a whole sentence besides vocabulary will surely result in the students having tro

4、uble understanding a long passage. This lesson is not only aimed at the reading of a material , but also at the building up of vocabulary and grasping the details.Design PhilosophyFirst, help students keep abreast of the latest fashion in society without caring much about the words barriers. Second,

5、 learning how to analyse the passage is important. Word building is the last aim we are to achieve.Learning ObjectivesBy the end of this lesson, the students will be able to analyze problems with supporting details; will be able to improve their ability to guess the meaning of a new word in the cont

Step 3Skimming :Get students to find out the topic sentence of the whole passage. Help the students learn how to read quickly and grasp the main idea of the passage exactly.

11、 To train students to analyze the structure of the article, and accurately grasp the center paragraph and the center sentence, so as to understand the main idea of the passage.Step 4Detail Reading:Have students read the passage carefully and then finish the exercises in the Learning Notes in about 1
