2、anguage acquisition that involves doing familiar task using the target language. As these are familiar task there is a large range of possibilities; for example, visiting a doctor, conducting an interview, or calling customer service for help. ( ://wiki/Task-based_language_learning)T

3、ask-based Language Learning (2)In PracticeThe core of the lesson is , as the name suggests, the task. All parts of the language used are deemphasized during the activity itself, in order to get students to focus on the task. Although there may be several effective frameworks for creating a task-base

4、d learning lesson, here is a rather comprehensive one suggested by Jane Willis Note that each lesson may be broken into several stages with some stages removed or others added as the instructor sees fit:( ://wiki/Task-based_language_learning)Task-based Language Learning (3)Pre-taskIn

5、 the pre-task, the teacher will present what will be expected of the students in the task phase. Additionally, the teacher may prime the students with key vocabulary or grammatical constructs, although, in pure task-based learning lessons, these will be presented as suggestions and the students woul

6、d be encouraged to use what they are comfortable with in order to complete the task. The instructor may also present a model of the task by either doing it themselves or by presenting picture, audio, or video demonstrating the task.( ://wiki/Task-based_language_learning)Task-based La

And unless the teacher plays a particular role in the task, then the teachers role is typically limited to one of an observer or counselorthus t

The tour, costing NT$24,750.-, offers a round-trip air ticket to the United States of America, not including hotel accommodation or any food. Lesson Plan (1)Objectives The purpose of this lesson is t

17、o provide opportunities to engage learners in authentic listening and speaking.The students will learn to complete a task assigned by the teacher through negotiating with their classmates under the scenario created by the teacher. The students will learn the key words and expressions concerning sell

18、ing and buying a tour.The students will learn how to respond to this specific situation in the real world in English through role playing.Lesson Plan (2)ProcedureExplain the activity to students Its a group activity.In each group, a travel agent and a client played by two different students have to

19、converse in order to reach the goal set by the teacher. Elaborate on the rules in terms of language use Grammar and pronunciation are not that critical. Instead, comprehensibility is what matters. Given this, short sentences, phrases and even words are acceptable.If necessary, speaking Chinese is al

20、so allowed.Lesson Plan (3)ProcedureDivide the students into several groups with 4-5 people in one group.Pre-teach the vocabulary and expressions relevant to the topic and ask everybody to practice.Vocabulary and expressions for the travel agent make a reservation, book the ticket, fare, confirm, ful

21、ly-booked, waiting list, peak season, flight, fill out the form Vocabulary and expressions for the client traveling independently, passport, visa, valid date, accommodation, meals, entertainment, one-way, round-trip, discountLesson Plan (4)ProcedureAsk 2 volunteers from each group to play the roles

22、of the travel agent and the client. The rest of the students in each group will be divided into two sub-groups and work as the think tank for the two volunteers separately. During the conversation, students in each sub-group will work together to help figure out what the other party is talking about
