Shesalso wear, eee, holding, sorry, shes holding some kind of horn,enn, kind of trumpet. Now, trumpets are used for spreading orannouncing the fame of worldly people. So, a lot of ar
9、tists ofVermeers time used themheir paings to symbolize fame.And shes holding a book in her. with her lefnd, eee,sibly the works of the Greek historian Thucydides. The laurelwreath, the book, and the trumpet suggestt the woman isClio, the ancient Greek Muse of history, the Greeks Goddess ofhistory.
