1、Unit 4 Astronomy: the science of the stars三、單元預(yù)習(xí)任務(wù)(Pre-unit task)1. 根據(jù)本單元教學(xué)目標(biāo)和要求,了解本單元話題和任務(wù),充分做好課前預(yù)習(xí)工作。2. 預(yù)習(xí)語言知識,包括詞匯表里的詞匯和擴(kuò)展詞匯,掌握詞義、發(fā)音、詞性以及其基本用法。鼓勵學(xué)生勤查字典。3. 多渠道(如報刊、雜志、網(wǎng)絡(luò)等等)查閱并了解與本單元話題有關(guān)的背景知識和材料。第一課時前:1、 根據(jù)教學(xué)目標(biāo)和要求,了解本課時的話題和任務(wù),預(yù)習(xí)課文的語言知識,包括詞匯表里的詞匯和短語,以及課外提供的擴(kuò)展詞匯,掌握詞義、發(fā)音、詞性以及基本用法。鼓勵學(xué)生勤查字典。2、 預(yù)習(xí)閱讀材料,掌握

2、文章的中心思想和基本脈絡(luò)。 3、 通過報刊、雜志、網(wǎng)絡(luò)等途徑,多渠道查閱并了解與閱讀材料相關(guān)的信息資料和背景知識,做好充分的課前預(yù)習(xí)工作。(學(xué)生可以通過以下問題來自我檢查預(yù)習(xí)情況)Questionnaire:1.What does astronomy deal with?2.What do we call people who study astronomy?3.How did the universe come into being?4.Can you name the eight planets?5.Do you know the solar system in the universe?

3、 What is it made up of?6.How did life come into being on the earth?第二課時前:1、 復(fù)習(xí)閱讀課文,預(yù)習(xí)所給的詞匯、相關(guān)星球知識等材料;2、 預(yù)習(xí)Using language.第三課時前:1、 預(yù)習(xí)所給的詞匯,和相關(guān)知識。2、 查找并閱讀一篇關(guān)于黑洞的文章。第四課時前:1、預(yù)習(xí)語言點(diǎn)和語法點(diǎn)。第五課時前:1、 復(fù)習(xí)上一課時所學(xué)的語言點(diǎn)和語法。2、 通過本單元的輸入,羅列寫故事的寫作方法。四、教學(xué)安排(Teaching arrangements)本教學(xué)安排根據(jù)“LARA教學(xué)原則”,對教材進(jìn)行大膽的刪除(L leave out)、

4、修補(bǔ)(A Amending)、替換(R Replace)、增添(A Add),靈活的將教材為我所用。新教材在選材和教學(xué)活動的設(shè)計上充分考慮到學(xué)生年齡特征和他們生理和心理發(fā)展的需要;在采用話題、功能、結(jié)構(gòu)相結(jié)合的教學(xué)方法的基礎(chǔ)上,設(shè)計了“任務(wù)型”的活動;對英語語言知識和技能訓(xùn)練作了系統(tǒng)的安排,循序漸進(jìn),循環(huán)反復(fù),有利于學(xué)生構(gòu)建知識系統(tǒng);注意培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新精神,提高實(shí)踐能力。但新教材也應(yīng)與學(xué)生的實(shí)際相結(jié)合,我們不能全盤照搬。同時在教學(xué)過程中,為了對教學(xué)有個即使的反饋和有效的改進(jìn),我們還進(jìn)行了“形成性評價”。本單元的語言技能和語言知識幾乎都圍繞“The science of the stars”這一中心話

5、題設(shè)計的。我們根據(jù)本單元實(shí)際情況對教材的課時安排作了一些調(diào)整,尤其是學(xué)生用書(Students Book)和作業(yè)本(Workbook)有機(jī)結(jié)合。整個單元的備課思路是這樣的:從天文學(xué)談到地球(地球上生命的起源,如何去保護(hù)地球)-其他星球及太空物質(zhì)(月球及黑洞)-去太空旅行的目的,可能會碰到哪些困難,需要做哪些準(zhǔn)備-科學(xué)家進(jìn)行探索需要準(zhǔn)備什么以及需要怎樣的素質(zhì)。因此,具體安排是這樣的:Period one: Warming up and readingPeriod two: Using language and reading(wb)Period three: Listening, talking

6、, listening and writingPeriod four: GrammarPeriod five: Language Point這樣要說明的是我們在第二三課時教學(xué)中,特別穿插了對寫作的輔導(dǎo),符合了先輸入后輸出的教學(xué)理念。五、教學(xué)步驟 (Teaching procedures)Period 1 Warming up & ReadingStep 1 Warming up & lead in1. Activity 2: Suppose you are to design an activity for your school on Earth Day, which is intended to call on teachers and students to protect the earth.
