3、als such as schools, technical institutes, colleges, businesses & industries, and even on the web. faculty assist, support, and evaluate progress during the time allotted. students can schedule the directed field experience over 1-2 semesters at 3, 6, or 12 semester hours of credit for each semester

6、elated information addresses our requirement of developing a web-based reflective portfolio (wbrp), now a part of the undergraduate directed field experience (dfe). since all of your education courses have been completed via the world wide web and you are skilled in using this platform (web-ct), whe
7、n planning the portfolio process, it seemed logical to make it electronic and on the web.the type of portfolio required is reflective. this is mentioned because there are other types and goals of portfolios, such as employment or documentation of skills achieved. we will undoubtedly refer to relevan
8、t teaching standards florida educators accomplished practices (feap) and the professional education competencies (pec) but the primary purpose of our portfolio is reflection. our intent is also to make the process manageable and useful. it seems that historically, the portfolio process has been abus
9、ed, including an overwhelming amount and type of documentation and in a traditional 3-ring paper format notebook. it seemed ludicrous for us to require that type of portfolio after you have successfully used the web and even learned other electronic technologies.this has been an introduction to the

11、ministrative course requirementsattendance. this course places a strong emphasis upon the interaction of the students therefore you are expected to attend all class sessions. the failure to attend class will negatively affect your grade.late assignments. please see the professor if you are turning i

13、ng criteria. your internship is evaluated using the student teacher competency profile. to be successful during your internship, you will need to complete the responsibilities in a timely manner, and communicate any problems with your supervising teaching as needed. remember, your internship is abou
14、t meeting the needs of the students. the students expect to receive communication from you and the supervising teacher in an online class. whether you are working in industry or for a school system, deadlines are part of your job. you, the supervising teacher, and the students are all busy. working
15、with your supervising teacher is a team effort where both parties need to be respectful of the time needed to complete the commitments for the students or client.student teacher competency profile during the midpoint and end of the internship, the supervising teacher will fill out the student teache
16、r competency profile summary form. the categories on the form match the florida educator accomplish practices (feap), with the addition of the planning category. while not all of the feaps might apply to your internship, the supervising teacher will fill out the appropriate categories. evaluation pr
17、ocess this is your internship and we want you to be successful. to receive a satisfactory in the evaluation, you need to complete all your internship responsibilities on time and communicate any problems to the supervising teacher in a timely manner. any lateness, missed grading, or non-communicatio
18、n to the supervising teacher will be documented in the student teacher competency profile. please review the outline below concerning the procedure to follow if you cannot meet your internship responsibilities. the information is general and not all of the categories may apply to your responsibiliti
19、es as given in the internship responsibility sheet.i. introduction you need to post your introduction prior to saturday orientation when the course begins. on saturday morning, if you have not posted, the supervising teacher will email you.ii. check for the students introduction posting if you antic
20、ipate a problem completing this responsibility by the due date, please email the supervisor teacher by wednesday morning. on wednesday morning, if the supervising teacher does not receive an email from you, an email will be sent asking about the list of students that are missing in the course. on th
21、ursday morning, if the supervising teacher has not received an email, he/she will complete checking the students, and email you stating that it was done.iii. grading if you anticipate that you are going to be late in sending the grades for the assigned activities, please email the supervising teache
22、r by at least thursday (the due date of the grading) on friday morning, if the grades were not received from you on thursday, the supervising teacher will email you asking about them. on saturday morning, if the supervising teacher has not received an email, he/she will complete the grades, and emai
23、l you stating that the supervising teacher is doing the grading.iv. reposts if you are not able to complete reposting grades, please email the supervising teacher by the friday following the initial grading of the activity. reposts that have not been completed by the following sunday from the initia
24、l grading will be completed by the supervising teacher and an email will be sent to the intern stating that they were done by the supervising teacher.v. interacting/monitoringif you are not able to interact in an activity or assist in monitoring an activity, please email the supervising teacher by t
