Section C is the travelling experien

3、ee to the Tian an men Square. Section A and B are the foun datio n of Secti on C . 川.Third,Analysis of Student Background: They are active and highly-motivate. Tian an man square is familiar to the students.lt for them.but they don t know the English names of buildings.They have learned word:south.

4、But they don t know how to read other direct ions. They don t know how to describe the area,le ngth and width. IV .Fourth,Teaching objects:We have three teaching objects to achieve. 衣 Knowledge objects: 1. Listen and read new words:north, east ,west, republic, monument, chairman, memorial, can wait

Listen and read new sentence structures:lt covers .How far .? 衣 Ability objects: develop and improve their listening, speaking 衣 Moral objects: I.Stimulate the students love for their hometown.To learn about Tian anmen Square ,to learn Putia n, to lear n about Chin ese Culture 2.Stude nts enj

6、oy help ing others, and they are glad to in troduce their hometow n to others. V .Fifth, Teaching and learning approaches: (Teaching approaches) 1. Task-based approach(Students should be aware of their job before taking action) Commun icative approach(En glish is a tool,lt s for com muni cati on) 2.

7、 Audio lin gual approach( Make the class lively and in terest in g.) 3.Situational Language Teaching ( Put them in real situation and they can feel the Ianguage,feel the En glish.) 4. W .Teaching procedures: I . Lead- in Step 1:Enjoy an En glish song about direct ions to attract and arouse the

9、 stude nts interest. And teach the new words about directi ons. Step 2:1 ntroduce the traveling frog and play a game with the frog. In the game, the students should try their best to speak out the direct ions as quickly as they can. (con solidate the the n ames the directions.) n . Presentation Step

(Here I use the task-based approach and the audio lin gual approach.They can get the whole class active in liste ni

13、ng and thinkin g.) Step 1: Students listen to the material to find out background of Tian an men Square. Try to answer three questio ns(where?who?How far?). (Liste ning practice is to check whether the stude nts can un dersta nd the target Ian guage or not and get more in formatio n about Tiananmen

14、square.E nable to develop the Ss liste ning skills.) Step 2 fill in the blanks .It is not only the main idea of the dialogue but also an introduction of Tian square.Teacher show the structure of the passage. It in cludes part about where/ how long/ how wide/ meaning/ .) (It is an example for stude n

15、ts to in troduce some place.) Step 3 Retell the dialogue accord ing to the mind map. (Pave the way for the Ian guage output.) IV. Post- liste ning It is mainly about The Ian guage output ,summary ,emoti on output and homework (for this we use Task-based approach,Com mun icative approach,Situati onal

16、 Lan guage Teach ing) Step 1 The Ian guage output Teacher will show pictures about Putia n Mazu and the map of Meizhou Island. (northeast, southwest .) which they are familiar with.it can stimulate the students love for their hometown Teacher sets real-life situations for students again. Step2 Stude

17、nts work in groups and introduce. Students are able to use the target language to describe some places . They are able to cooperate with others in pairs and groups. Step 3 Emoti on output Stude nts will enjoy the beauty of n ature in China, teacher will advise stude nts to either travel around the country or read books to ope n their mind.
