Leading in1.ask a question: what do you usually do on weekends?2.Students should think about it ,and then give their answers.3.Show the pictures they always do on weekends,and then practice them one by one.4.Ask another two questions : do you often help your parents? What do you usually do to help them? Step 2. show learning objects1).Learn the new expressions for different chores, like do the dishes, sweep the floor, take out the trash and so on.2).Learn to make polite requests using Could you please ?3).Encourage students to help their parents do chores.Step 3. Expressions for chores Show the pictures. Teach the new expressions and the new sentence structure: Could you please ?(1)A guessing game: look and say .Students should see the pictures carefully and then say the phrases.Have a match.show a dirty room, and ask students”what will your parents say if they want you to clean the room?” (3)ask students to give their answers, and then practice more.Step 4. Listening1b Read the instructions.Point to the chart Show students the columns with the heading Mom and Peter? Say, Listen to the recording and check Mother or Peter.Play the recording the first time. Students only listen. Say, You will hear a conversation between Peter and his mom.Play the recording a second time. This time ask students to check Mother or Peter. Check the answers.Step 5. Pairwork(1)1c: explain the conversation in 1c.(2)give another four pictures,and let them practice. Students should work with a partner. And then show their own conversation in the class.Step 6.Practice Read and then fill in the blanks.Step 7 .summaryStudents should summarize the key point they have learned this time.Step 6.
