“先學(xué)后教,當(dāng)堂訓(xùn)練”模式下初中英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)策略研究 Unit 9 Do you know when basketball was invented? 授課人:馬杰一、 教材依據(jù)人教版義務(wù)教育課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)實(shí)驗(yàn)教科書(shū)英語(yǔ)(新目標(biāo))九年級(jí)Unit 9 When was it invented ? 中的Reading: Do you know when basketball was invented ?作為教學(xué)內(nèi)容。二、設(shè)計(jì)理念根據(jù)新課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求,按“QA2L”模式進(jìn)行教學(xué)活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì),“QA2I”是指Question(問(wèn)題)、Association(聯(lián)系)、Imitation(模仿)、Induction(梳理)等教學(xué)活動(dòng)結(jié)合“先學(xué)后教,當(dāng)堂訓(xùn)練”模式。教學(xué)中讓學(xué)生觀(guān)看1936年柏林奧運(yùn)會(huì)開(kāi)幕式,NBA比賽錄像,創(chuàng)設(shè)真實(shí)的教學(xué)情境,提供生動(dòng)、豐富的學(xué)習(xí)材料,讓學(xué)生在應(yīng)用活動(dòng)中理解所學(xué)的知識(shí)并解決實(shí)際問(wèn)題,促進(jìn)語(yǔ)言知識(shí)、交際技能與情感體驗(yàn)的銜接。實(shí)施以學(xué)生主動(dòng)參與的任務(wù)驅(qū)動(dòng)型(Task-based activity)學(xué)習(xí)方式,設(shè)計(jì)了有趣的學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù),讓他們都能享受到學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的樂(lè)趣。讓學(xué)生進(jìn)行free talk以發(fā)展學(xué)生的聽(tīng)、說(shuō)技能;談?wù)摗?have sports”導(dǎo)入中心話(huà)題“ basketball”,并就這一中心話(huà)題進(jìn)行open discussion完成課堂設(shè)置的有關(guān)本閱讀中語(yǔ)言知識(shí)方面的一系列Task-based activities來(lái)體驗(yàn)和運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言;然后要求學(xué)生通過(guò)小組討論的形式進(jìn)一步鞏固所學(xué)的內(nèi)容并共同評(píng)價(jià)活動(dòng)的落實(shí)情況;最后教師引導(dǎo)學(xué)生將課文知識(shí)進(jìn)行梳理延伸。 三、教學(xué)目標(biāo)圍繞 “basketball”(籃球),讓學(xué)生掌握本文大意及文中所包含的語(yǔ)言知識(shí),并滲透“熱愛(ài)體育,珍惜生命”的德育理念,增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的社會(huì)榮譽(yù)感及愛(ài)國(guó)主義教育。通過(guò)本課閱讀教學(xué),讓學(xué)生初步掌握“mind-mapping”學(xué)習(xí)策略,學(xué)會(huì)信息與圖像的轉(zhuǎn)換。閱讀技巧方面培養(yǎng)學(xué)生抓住關(guān)鍵詞,找出中心句,劃分段落層次,學(xué)會(huì)寫(xiě)出總結(jié)(summary),提升學(xué)生綜合技能。 四、教學(xué)重點(diǎn)1)It is believed that on December 21st ,1891. the first basketball game in history was played. 2)Knocking into players and falling downing would be dangerous 五、 教學(xué)難點(diǎn) divideinto separate from in history六、教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備1.讓學(xué)生預(yù)習(xí)課文2. To know sth. about basketball 七、教學(xué)工具1.小黑板 2.錄音機(jī) 3.卡片 4.投影 5.VCD 八、教學(xué)過(guò)程 Pre-reading 1、Show the studying aims 1)掌握大課文中的一些單詞和短語(yǔ)。 2)理解一些重要句子。 3)了解籃球發(fā)展的歷史和受歡迎的程度。 4)讓學(xué)生用mind-map 來(lái)復(fù)述課文,怎樣用mind-map歸納出課文主要內(nèi)容。Task1、 lead-in為了給學(xué)生爭(zhēng)取到更多的語(yǔ)言表達(dá)機(jī)會(huì),培養(yǎng)了聽(tīng)說(shuō)技能,調(diào)動(dòng)了學(xué)生參加語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)的積極性,采用free talk形式進(jìn)行warming up 熱身活動(dòng),以學(xué)生熟悉的籃球?yàn)樵?huà)題,為籃球的歷史做鋪墊,幫助他們形成積極向上的情感及樹(shù)立學(xué)好英語(yǔ)的自信心。T: Do you often have sports?S: Yes.T: Which do you like best ?S: Basketball, volleyball, footballT: What is Yaoming ?S: He is a basketball player.T: OK. Thank you .T:What do you know about Yaoming?S : 由于學(xué)生在八年級(jí)英語(yǔ)課本中已了解有關(guān)Yaoming的簡(jiǎn)歷,也是學(xué)生崇拜的偶像。故導(dǎo)入話(huà)題“ basketball”時(shí),學(xué)生有濃厚的興趣。觀(guān)看課件,開(kāi)始學(xué)習(xí)與籃球有關(guān)的單詞,basket metal hoop shoot backboard court shoot以及短語(yǔ)divideinto separate from in history;播放錄像,觀(guān)看NBA 片段,柏林奧運(yùn)會(huì)開(kāi)幕式錄像,創(chuàng)設(shè)真實(shí)的情境,導(dǎo)入的話(huà)題聯(lián)系實(shí)際生活,因而很快地激起了學(xué)生的表達(dá)欲望和學(xué)習(xí)熱情。每個(gè)學(xué)生都敢于參與,課堂氣氛非?;钴S。迅速轉(zhuǎn)入本課的話(huà)題討論之中。以開(kāi)放討論的形式設(shè)置以下問(wèn)題:Have you ever played basketball? If yes, describe it . If not, please imagine what it will be like.設(shè)計(jì)這項(xiàng)活動(dòng)的目的是為每個(gè)學(xué)生營(yíng)造一種充分表達(dá)自己觀(guān)點(diǎn)和充分發(fā)揮想象力的民主、和諧的課堂教學(xué)氛圍,同時(shí)通過(guò)這種相互溝通的開(kāi)放式討論,學(xué)生能間接獲取有關(guān) basketball的一些信息,為正式閱讀做好了鋪墊。Task2.Show and imagine Show the Ss some pictures and ask them to say and imagine something about basketball . And say why.經(jīng)過(guò)開(kāi)放式討論,每個(gè)學(xué)生對(duì)basketball 活動(dòng) 規(guī)則有了一定的了解。學(xué)生把頭腦中的想象和現(xiàn)實(shí)聯(lián)系起來(lái),要求學(xué)生說(shuō)出各個(gè)圖片在籃球比賽中的作用。經(jīng)過(guò)開(kāi)放討論后再把他們帶入到一種真實(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)情境中,他們感到非常的輕松,且有強(qiáng)烈的表達(dá)欲望。提問(wèn): What is the hoop used for ? 時(shí),學(xué)生們很快能回答。接著問(wèn): Why is it so popular in the world ? 時(shí),學(xué)生們也能正確作答。盡管這項(xiàng)活動(dòng)在不到幾分鐘的時(shí)間內(nèi)就完成了,但同學(xué)從中找到了一種完成任務(wù)的成就感,并在這種輕松、愉快的情境中體驗(yàn)了自身發(fā)現(xiàn)和解決問(wèn)題的歡樂(lè),繼續(xù)提問(wèn):Do you want to learn more about basketball? 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)入重要教學(xué)環(huán)節(jié)。While-reading Reading skills這部分所要達(dá)到的教學(xué)目的就是使學(xué)生整體了解課文內(nèi)容,通過(guò)語(yǔ)篇教學(xué)來(lái)掌握課本知識(shí),并通過(guò)完成課堂設(shè)置的有關(guān)課文中語(yǔ)言知識(shí)方面的一系列Task-based activities(任務(wù)驅(qū)動(dòng)型活動(dòng))來(lái)體驗(yàn)和運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言。問(wèn)題設(shè)置,自主探究,激活思維。根據(jù)學(xué)生實(shí)際水平,分層次,分階段設(shè)置問(wèn)題,訓(xùn)練和培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀速度和能力,進(jìn)行課文整體教學(xué),問(wèn)題設(shè)置采用循序漸進(jìn)的方式 。 Activity 1(fast reading)Read and answer the following questions.1.Write the “who” of the article _2. Write the “what” of the article _3. Write the “when” of the article _4 Write the “where” of the article _.Keys :1.Dr Naismith 2.basketball 3.in 1891 4.Canada Activity 2本課內(nèi)容為籃球的發(fā)展演變過(guò)程,圍繞籃球在國(guó)際合作、交流中的重要性,樹(shù)立良好的情感態(tài)度和價(jià)值觀(guān),作為閱讀開(kāi)頭表達(dá)作業(yè),設(shè)計(jì)如下5個(gè)問(wèn)題:1.Do you dream of becoming famous basketball players?2.What is NBA?3.Why do so many people like basketball ?4.Why were Berlin Olympics important for basketball ?5.Who invented basketball ? Activity 3(careful reading)為了幫助學(xué)生回答這5 個(gè)問(wèn)題,有繪出如下主要情節(jié)脈絡(luò)圖,讓學(xué)生小組討論、合作完成。 這樣,只用幾個(gè)問(wèn)題,幾根線(xiàn)條,不多幾個(gè)單詞就使文章結(jié)構(gòu)、人物關(guān)系印入學(xué)生腦海,留下深刻的印象。Post-reading Activity 1 拓展T:Please read again silently and complete the mind- map for five minutes .Then check the answer.T:Let us have a competition between the boys and the girls .say something about basketball. Activity 2聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫(xiě)綜合技能訓(xùn)練要求:1. With your partners you are to read and summarize each paragraph in this reading .First one student reads a paragraph to the other student. You can help each other out with the hard words. It is very important to listen carefully!2. The student that did not read the paragraph must write a one or two sentence summary of the paragraph .You can discuss the summary and help each other with the wording and the spelling .It is important to write the most important things. Remember, you are summarizing the paragraph.3. The student that summarized the first paragraph reads and the other student listens. Then the listener writes the summary .The group continues reading, taking turns reading and summarizing.
