Unit 10 Section B Id like some noodles (1a-2c)教學(xué)目標(biāo):1. Students wil be able to develop a solider grasp of the vocabulary and sentence patterns learnt in Section A.2. Students will be able to learn new vocabulary about food and drink.3. Students will be able to learn some listening skills: how to listen for key ideas and take quick notes during listening.4. Students will be able to make phone conversations to order take-out.教學(xué)重難點(diǎn):1. How to listen for key information and take quick notes during listening.2. How to use the key sentence patternsflexibly to make phone conversation.Step 1. GameWho is the fastest one?The teacher shows the picture of the words learnt in Section A quickly. If the students know the word, they should stand up and say the word loudly. The teacher chooses the fastest one to spell the word. If he can spell it correctly, the teacher asks the rest of the students to read word after him/her twice.Step 2.The teacher asks students to make conversation one by one, using the pictures and the following sentence patterns:A: What kind of soup would you like?B: Id like someandsoup.A: What size would you like?B: Id like a small/medium/large bowl.Step 3. Presentation of the new words.The teacher shows the pictures of the following new words and teaching the pronunciation.1. meat 2. dumplings 3. porridge 4. onions 5. spring onions 6. green tea 7. black tea 8. pancakes 9. juiceStep 5. Revision of the new words1. The teacher shows the pictures of the new words. Let the students to say the words.2. Students read the words after the teacher twice.3. Students read the words on their own twice.4. The teacher choose some students to be little teachers. Every student reads atfer the little teachers together.Step 5. Game:Which one is missing?The teacher gives students two minutes to remember all the words. Then the teacher deletes one word each time, the students try to figure out which word is deleted.Step 7. Activity 1a: Match the words with the pictures. Students discuss the following questions according to the picture: a. Where are these people (in a buffet) b. What food can you see in the picture?Step 8. Practicing1. The teacher gives students two minutes to make preparations. Students use the words in 1a to make conversations with their patterners: A: What do you like? B:I like ., . and. / I dont like., . or .2. The teacher divides the class into two groups. Each group has one minute to make as many conversations as possible. The group making more conversations is the winner.3. The teacher points out the important grammatical rules:a. and is usually used in affirmative sentences.“or is used innegative andinterrogativesentences. b. The difference between ”what do you like?“、”What would you like? and their answers.Step 9. Listening1. Group discussion:What should you tell the restaurant when ordering some takeout?2. Lead students to go through the order form to check their prediction.3. Listen and complete the food order form and check the answers.4. Students read the transcript together.Step 10. Post-listening Activity:Pair work: Make a dialogue between the customer and the waiter according to the provided menu of House of Dumplings.A: Hi, House of Dumplings! B: Hello!
