人教版八年級英語上冊Unit6 Section A教學(xué)案例教材分析: Unit6 Section A,學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容主要體現(xiàn)在以下幾點:1、 學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)人物特點的單詞:tall, thin, short, heavy, calm, wild, long hair, short hair, outgoing, quiet, funny, serious, smart, athletic2、 學(xué)習(xí)人物進行比較的重要句型:(1) Pedro is funnier than Paul.(2) Tina is taller than Tara.(3) Tom is more athletic than Sam.3、掌握語法點:the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives (形容詞的比較級和最高級)學(xué)生分析: 以大家比較熟知的人物形象如姚明和潘長江、趙本山和撒貝寧等強烈的反差,喚起大家的學(xué)習(xí)熱情,并很快記住形容詞的比較級和最高級,加以不同方式的練習(xí)鞏固,完全會做到用正確的語言結(jié)構(gòu)表達人物特點,進行比較。教學(xué)目標:1、指導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)人物特點的單詞、人物比較的表達方法及語法知識點形容詞的比較級和最高級的變化規(guī)則。在此基礎(chǔ)上學(xué)會討論個性特征。2、 教學(xué)過程中培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的口頭表達能力、閱讀理解能力和寫作能力。3、 通過學(xué)習(xí)本課,增強師生、生生間的相互了解和溝通。教學(xué)重點:1.形容詞比較級的變化規(guī)則。2.有關(guān)人物特點的單詞及其比較級形式,tall-taller, calm-calmer, outgoing-more outgoing, serious-more serious, athletic-more athletic, wild-wilder3.學(xué)習(xí)人物進行比較的句型:(1) Pedro is funnier than Paul.(2) Tina is taller than Tara.(3) Tom is more athletic than Sam.教學(xué)難點:使用形容詞比較級比較人的個性特征。教學(xué)手段:自制表格教學(xué)方法:任務(wù)型教學(xué)法,小組合作教學(xué)法,聽說教學(xué)法,競賽法,游戲法。教學(xué)過程:Step1 Warm-upT: Lets sing the song The Family.Ss: This is mama, kind and dear. This is papa, standing near. This is brother, see how tall. This is sister, not so tall. This is baby, sweet and small. These, the family, one and all.Step 2 Lead-inT:This is my sister. Can you describe what she looks like and what she is like? (Show them your sisters photo.)S:She is tall. /She is thin. / She has long hair./She is easygoing./(Students express themselves freely.)T:Lets look at our photos.(Show them on the screen.) Please talk about us.S:She is shorter than you. /She has shorter hair than you. /She is thinner than you. / (Students get information from the photos.)T:Im more outgoing than my sister.(Lead in the class subject.)Step 3 Revision1. Revise the adjectives describing peoples appearance and personalities:Divide the class into six groups and have a competition. See which group of the students can get as much as possible. Write down on a piece of paper prepared beforeclass. (Students must collect them before class.)2、Show some photos about famous persons and talk about their personal traits, using description words, such as short hair/long hair, curly hair/straight hair, tall/short, heavy/thin, funny/serious, outgoing/quiet, smart/foolish, beautiful/ugly, intelligent/lazy, friendly/unfriendly etc, on the screen.T: Look at the photo, please. Who is he?Ss: Jackie Chen.T: Yeah. What does he look like?S1: He is of medium height.S2: He is thin.S3: He has short black hair.S4: He is very friendly.S5: Look, this is Bruce Lee. He is tall and thin.S6: He is smart.S7: He has short black hair.T: He is a great Chinese hero. He is our pride. We should learn from him and workhard.Step 4 Presentation1、 Learn some new words about personal traits: calm/wild, athletic/weak, using the pictures of three pairs of twins in Section A.T: Who is calmer, Tom or Sam?S: Tom is calmer than Sam. Sam is wilder than Tam.Tom is more athletic than Sam. Sam is weaker than Tom.2、 Do Section A-1a.Match each word with the opposite. Check the answers.3、 Get students to introduce the rules of the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives.(Show them on the screen.)Step 5 Listening1、 Listen to the tape and number the pictures in 1b.2、 Listen to the tape and complete the chat in 2a. Listen again and fill in chart in 2b.3、 Check the answers.Step 6 PracticeTask 1: Interview famous persons(Pair work)Demonstrate the activity with one student. (Imagine he/she is a famous person. The teacher acts as a reporter.)T: Hello, Mary. May I ask you some questions about your family?S: Yes.T: Do you have a brother or a sister?S: Yes, I have two brothers and one sister.T: Who is taller, your sister or you?S: Im taller than my sister.T: Who is the most athletic of you?S: My oldest brother.(Show an example on the screen.) Ss work in pairs. Then ask some pairs to act them out in class.Task 2: Public vote (Group work)1.Divide the class into six groups and then work in groups. Then read the statements (1-5) about the article. Write “T”、“F” or “DK”.3、 Check the answers. (Ask Ss to give reasons.)4、 Ask Ss to write another letter.T: You are Isabel now. Write a letter to reply Liu Li. Talk about the same anddifferent between you and one of your friends.5、Choose two or three to share the replies with the whole class.Step 8 Consolidation and Sum-up1、 Give Ss a chance to sum up what have learned in this class.(Sscan talk about it freely.)
