Unit 8 推薦信(Letter of Recommendation),推薦信是向某單位,如公司、學(xué)校等推薦和說明求職或求學(xué)人員情況的信件。一般是由領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、專家等有關(guān)人員從第三方的角度向用人單位或?qū)W校提供有關(guān)當(dāng)事人的相關(guān)信息和推薦意見。推薦信有時(shí)直接附在個(gè)人簡歷之后,有時(shí)也單獨(dú)存在。語言要求簡明扼要,實(shí)事求是。推薦信雖然會(huì)因?yàn)橥扑]人的不同而在內(nèi)容上有不同的側(cè)重點(diǎn),但模式上大體來說還是有規(guī)律可循的。,一封推薦信應(yīng)該提供如下信息: who you are, your connection with the person you are recommending, why they are qualified the specific skills they have. 此外,(推薦信上應(yīng)提供推薦人的工作單位、地址、電話等以便對(duì)方聯(lián)系,以便用人單位可以了解、確認(rèn)情況;簽名后必須注意職稱或?qū)W銜。) 推薦信在西方國家是求職,求學(xué)的必備材料。 寫推薦信的人必須對(duì)被推薦者有一定的了解。最好有較深的資歷。如被推薦者的原單位領(lǐng)導(dǎo),本專業(yè)的專家等,名聲越大越好。,推薦信大體上可分為兩種:專業(yè)推薦信(特意為被推薦人申請(qǐng)某一單位的某一職務(wù)而寫的。寫信人應(yīng)了解聘方的要求、工作性質(zhì)等有關(guān)情況以便有的放矢地推薦被薦人)。通常推薦信(即一封信可以用于不同的聘人單位,通常以“To Whom it May Concern”)為稱呼。推薦信要多寫優(yōu)點(diǎn),充分肯定成績,篇幅不宜過長,也不能三言兩語。 一般包括以下三個(gè)內(nèi)容: 1指出被推薦的人及推薦的原因; 2介紹被推薦人的情況; 3總結(jié)說明被推薦人值得被推薦(例如能勝任工作)。,下面是一個(gè)推薦信模版,它可以幫助你寫好一封推薦信。 Salutation 如果你的推薦信是要給某一個(gè)人的,你應(yīng)該加上稱呼,例如Dear Dr. Smith, Dear Mr. Jones,等等。如果你的推薦信非常general,你在稱呼的地方寫To Whom it May Concern 或者不寫稱呼也可以。 Paragraph 1 推薦信的第一段應(yīng)該說明你和被推薦人的關(guān)系,包括你是怎么認(rèn)識(shí)他/她的,還有你寫這封推薦信的資格。,Paragraph 2 推薦信的第二段應(yīng)該包括被推薦人的個(gè)人信息,說明他/她的資格、能力,還有你為什么要為他/她寫推薦信。如果必要的話,可以分幾段來描述細(xì)節(jié)。 Paragraph 3 如果是推薦被推薦人應(yīng)聘某個(gè)職位,推薦信應(yīng)該描述這個(gè)人的能力能適合他/她所要求的職位。可以參考招聘廣告上對(duì)職位的要求和被推薦人的簡歷一起來寫。,Summary 主要內(nèi)容敘述清楚后,還應(yīng)該加一個(gè)簡短的總結(jié)。總結(jié)部分應(yīng)該再簡述一下你為什么要推薦這個(gè)人??梢詫懮螴 highly recommend the person,I recommend the person without reservation 或者其他類似的話。 Conclusion 推薦信的結(jié)尾部分應(yīng)該寫上你愿意提供更多的詳細(xì)信息,要注明你的電話號(hào)碼,聯(lián)系方式和email address. 最后,還要寫上下面這一段: Sincerely, Writers Name Title(Tel number Mailing address),Samples 1.通用模板(Template) Dear Name of Employer: This reference letter is provided at the request of (or with the written authorization of) name of former employee.
