TheClimateAction100+NetZeroCompanyBenchmark(henceforththe‘Benchmark’)

evaluatestheperformanceofsomeoftheworld’slargestcorporategreenhousegasemitterswithrespecttotheirnetzerotransition,andtheinitiative’sthreehigh-levelgoals:emissionsreduction,climategovernance,andclimate-relateddisclosure.

TheBenchmarkisnotadisclosuremechanismordatabaseitself,butratheranassessmenttool,drawingondistinctanalyticalmethodologiesanddatasetsfrompublicandself-

discloseddatafromcompanies.

TheBenchmarkiscategorisedintotwotypesofassessments:

Asignificantmajorityofcompaniesandtheirauditorsstillfailtoprovide,andassess,respectively,Paris-alignedsensitivities.Overall,investorsneedmoretimelyand

Despiteimprovementsincompanydisclosure,capitalallocationalignmentassessmentscontinuetoexhibitlimitedprogress.

CTI’sCapitalAllocationAlignmentAssessmentsshowjustoveraquarteroftheelectricpowercompaniesassessedarealigningtheircoalcapacitywiththeirinterpretationof1.5°Calignment.CTIalsoshowsthatthealignmentofoilandgascompanies'capital
