關(guān)系副詞的作用如下:1.指代表示、、的先行詞。
2.先行詞在句中充當(dāng)句子成分——。
3.起作用,把先行詞跟定語從句連接起來。
(一)when引導(dǎo)定語從句的用法當(dāng)先行詞是表示時(shí)間的名詞,(如time,day,year,month,week等),且關(guān)系詞在定語從句中作時(shí)間狀語時(shí),定語從句用when引導(dǎo)。E.g.①IstillrememberthetimewhenIwasincollege.②Ihaveforgottentheexactdatewhenthiscountrybecameindependent.(二)where引導(dǎo)定語從句的用法當(dāng)先行詞是表示地點(diǎn)的名詞(如place,room,mountain,airport等),且關(guān)系詞在從句中作地點(diǎn)狀語時(shí),定語從句用where引導(dǎo)。E.g.Thisisthehotelwheretheystayed.此外,當(dāng)先行詞為situation,case,stage,point等,且關(guān)系詞在定語從句中作狀語時(shí),也要用關(guān)系副詞where引導(dǎo)。E.g.Theyhavereachedthepointwheretheyhavetoseparatewitheachother.(三)why引導(dǎo)的定語從句當(dāng)先行詞是表示緣由的名詞reason,且關(guān)系詞在從句中作緣由狀語,定語從句用why引導(dǎo),且只能引導(dǎo)限制性定語從句。E.g.Thisisthereasonwhyheleftinahurry.關(guān)系副詞when,where可用于非限制性定語從句,而關(guān)系副詞why不行以。例如:Theyear1949isveryimportant,whenPeoplesRepublicofChinawasfounded.Wewillvisitafactory,wheremyfatheronceworked.二、Exercises1.Hewrotealetterheexplainedwhathadhappenedintheaccident.
