forever,hedecidedtotakemattersintohisownhandsandstartedtotrackdownthebikesandreturnthemtotheir

rightfulowners.However,whatstartedasaheateddecisiontobringjusticeturnedintoacausethathada

tremendouslypositivebutterflyeffectonthetown.

The44-year-oldhashelpedtoreturnhundredsofbikesoverthepast4yearsanddevelopedareputationamong

Reykjavikscyclistcommunityandevenpotentialbikethievesasthe"bikewhisperer”.HisFacebookpagehasmore

than14,500membersandhelpspeopletrackdownmorethanjustlostbikes.Hispageextendstopeoplewhohave

losttools,carsandotheritemsofhighvalue.

InitiallyLeossonwouldconfrontthethieveswithanger.However,overtime,herealisedthatthevastmajority

ofthetheftsweredrivenoutofaddictionsandotherissues.Hewentfromfeelingnegativelytowardsthethievesto

understandingtheirfeelingsandproblems:
