第頁(yè)第07講:第07講:情態(tài)動(dòng)詞及虛擬語(yǔ)氣考點(diǎn)歸納、考前鞏固、真題鏈接 考點(diǎn)歸納基本情態(tài)(助)動(dòng)詞:can/could,may/might,must,shall,should/oughtto,will/would(表意愿)常見(jiàn)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的區(qū)分: ⑴ can/beableto:①前者表示固有能力,后者表示努力后獲得的能力;②過(guò)去時(shí)態(tài),前者表示具有能力做(但不一定做),后者僅表示過(guò)去做且已成功;③時(shí)態(tài)上,前者只能變?yōu)閏ould,后者有多種時(shí)態(tài)選擇1 ⑵ must/haveto:前者指主觀意見(jiàn),后者指客觀需要1 ⑶ would/usedto:都表示過(guò)去經(jīng)常重復(fù)的動(dòng)作,但前者只能用于表示過(guò)去習(xí)慣性動(dòng)作,而不能表示過(guò)去的狀態(tài),而后者皆可;后者一般不能與表確定時(shí)間段的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)并存 ⑷ dare/need:兩個(gè)詞都兼作實(shí)義動(dòng)詞與情態(tài)動(dòng)詞[語(yǔ)法上稱其為邊際情態(tài)助動(dòng)詞(MarginalModalAuxiliary)];參照其他只能做情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的詞的搭配,區(qū)分dare/need是何種動(dòng)詞(如candosth./can’tdosth.);一般肯定句中,兩者只能作及物動(dòng)詞;作實(shí)義動(dòng)詞時(shí)兩者均后接帶to的不定式;特殊地,dare作實(shí)義動(dòng)詞時(shí)可省略to;dare的否定形式為daren’t ⑸ mustn’t/needn’t:兩者均為must的否定形式,前者表示不許,后者表示不必 ⑹ needn’thavedone/didn’tneedto:前者表示沒(méi)必要做但已做完,后者表示沒(méi)必要做且未做特殊情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的用法: ⑴ modalverbs+v.-ing:對(duì)于正在進(jìn)行(或?qū)?lái))的事表示揣測(cè),解釋為“應(yīng)當(dāng)正在”、“想必正在”等,如 e.g.Thechildcan’tbetellingthetruth.Itmustbesnowing.Hemightstillbesleeping. ⑵ shall:用于征求允諾;用于法律法規(guī)的允諾、要求、命令(表示說(shuō)話人的強(qiáng)烈意志、決心) ⑶ should:表示應(yīng)該;抒發(fā)諸如驚奇、不滿等情緒情態(tài)動(dòng)詞表“推測(cè)”: ⑴ 可能性由小到大依次為:EQEQ\O(Uncertain→Certain,mightmaycouldcanshouldoughttowouldwillmust) ⑵ 表推測(cè)時(shí),can不用于肯定句,may不用于疑問(wèn)句,即“may不疑,can不肯”,但could沒(méi)有這一限制 ⑶ must用于肯定句;表示一定不,改用can’t而非mustn’t;must很少用于推測(cè)將來(lái)情況 ⑷ can在疑問(wèn)句中表示“可能,會(huì)”,couldn’t表示否定推測(cè)modalauxiliary+havedone: can’t/couldn’thavedone過(guò)去不可能 musthavedone過(guò)去必然發(fā)生 may/mighthavedone過(guò)去可能發(fā)生卻未發(fā)生 oughtto/shouldhavedone過(guò)去應(yīng)該做卻未做 couldhavedone過(guò)去可以完成卻未完成(委婉、遺憾) (needn’t見(jiàn)上)涉及情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的一些詞組: maywell/might(may)aswell=hadbetter/wouldlike(love/care)todo/shouldlike(love)to do/wouldrather…than/couldyoupleasedosth.?/can’thelpbutdo/can’tbetoo/betohave done=shouldhavedoneif引導(dǎo)的非真實(shí)條件狀語(yǔ)從句:注意①去掉if倒裝;②主從句時(shí)態(tài)可不一致if從句主句一般時(shí)v.-ed/werewould/should/might/could+v.過(guò)去時(shí)hadv.-edwouldhavev.-ed將來(lái)時(shí)v.-ed/weretov./should+v.would+v.wish/asif表示與真實(shí)相反表示“建議”、“命令”、“愿望”、“要求”的a./v./n.用于名詞性從句中,從句用(should)+v.
